Leaving aside the cab's acoustical properties, it's just not very sexy is it?
And at 54kg its not going to be easy to shift, especially since if you spent that much on a cap you would want it flightcased too. Imagine the weight then.
I must admit, and this is no reflection on what others may have found, but I prefer the Aguilar 'sound' over even more boutique manufacturers. They are the perfect blend of great looks, great build, awesome tone, smooth horn, great articulate performance, and the ability to do balls out rock/metal as well as jazz/blues and still 'fit in'. Not only that, but they are held with high regard throughout the bass world. The white is cool....but get a cover!
Spot on, every word of it. I have a black on listed in the for sale section if anyone fancies it.

Right, I've had a rethink and decided to put this up for a sale price too. Ideally I'd like the trade but looks unlikely at the moment. As mentioned before, awesome condition, never left the house let alone gigged!! Beautifull and full sounding small cab capable of solid all round bass goodness. I'm sure most people are aware of the outstanding quality of these cabs. As soon as I have space and likely to be gigging properly again I will be getting another one of these for sure, maybe 2! Comes with a Roqsolid cover too. All in all, a great package so looking for £300+p&p. Any takers?
These really are fantastic cabinets. One thing I will add, the NY121 is also great, but you might lose some end and grunt.
Cheers for the heads up. I dont mind a slight reduction in bass responce if it means I am getting an even more compact and light cab. Also, I play mostly chord based classical stuff, well above the 7th fret normally and in all fairness a slightly less bassy cab sounds better for that sort of use. Hopefully that makes sense.
Hi i'd love to know what price you'd like for this if you decide to sell let me know Cheers Chris
Hi Right now, I'm not too sure. I'll have a quick think about it and get back to you. Ideally I'd like the trade but understand that options are limited that way so who knows. In the meantime, here are some pictures to try and tempt any of you NY121 owners
I'll trade my GS12 plus cash.. if that could influence your thinking
I appreciate the offer but I really am after something as small and light as possible. The GS112 is very much as big and heavy as what I have now. Edit: Maybe interested in an EBS Neo110.

I'm looking to move on my immaculate DB112 in black, which I bought just before christmas and has never left the house. Build quality and sound quality of these cabs are amazing but considering the size, is still a bit weighty and bulky. I'm moving to uni soon so could do with a slightly smaller alternative in the form of the New York 121 by Markbass. It comes with a Roqsolid cover. Not really looking for sale at the moment as I am continual need of a cab, alas the trade. Saying that, I may add a price in the future depending on how the search of the NY121 goes. I can put pictures up for any serious interest.

Cheers for the insight people. I suppose it would help if I was a bit more specific. The amp I am using is a Markbass LMII. I am off to uni later this year and need to seriously downsize my rig so was considering one of those EBS neo110 cabs which is rated at 250w. The setup would only be used in a small room and would need to be relatively quiet anyway so as not to upset the neighbours. If there are any other, cheap suggestions that people can recommend then that would be great. Thanks again.

Sorry if this has come up before, I did try looking for the answer but couldnt find it. In a nutshell, would it be completely wrong to plug a cab with 250w power handling into a 300w head. I know its a potentially stupid question but just fancied some real world opinions on this matter. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

I string my 5 string E-C too. I play alot of classical music and chords so I find having the extra high string handy for those top end appegios and classical style run of notes. In fact, I hardly ever venture down below the 5th fret and never touch the E. When you play in a 12 piece band with full orchestra and piano as well as usuall drums, guitars and vocals, you soon realise that the low B on the 5 string is pretty useless therefore I got rid of it. Best thing I ever did.

2 8ohm cabs = 4ohm output. Its pretty standard setup, my Markbass LMII used the same style as do alot of others. With that much power hooked up to a 4x10 and 1x15, you should be having enough volume for most applications.

Sold some Fender print last week. Payment was quick and correspondance was spot on. All in all, a sound transaction.
I'm running 300 watts with BOTH cabs...
Oh, now I see. Thanks.
SNIP....... Decided to buy a small 2x10 cab to release the full 300 watts.
On the link you put up, it says the power hadling is 200w. Would that be a problem if you are trying to 'release 300 watts'? If it is ok to do this, I might follow suit.

My Sandberg's have all had them. It came in handy when I decided to buy a JJ5 to load up with high C as no need to mess about with the nut. Great basses and a great idea the zero fret.

Due to an admin error I have a brand new and unspoilt Roqsolid cover to fit Aggies 112 cabs, either DB or GS, It is completely brand new, and ready to be sold. I think it was about £38 new so would take £25+p&p, which is a good price considering it is new. Any interest, let me know. Everyone knows how good these covers are so protect your cab and buy this!
