For Sale. [b]***PRICE DROP £420***[/b] For as long as I can remember I always wanted one of these beauties and when the opportunity to own one came up about 6 months ago I jumped at the chance. Sadly however, it just is not getting the use that is clearly deserves so I thought I would pass it on to another appreciator of fine vintage British instruments. This is a very early Mk.1 1976 example as demonstrated by the 'big plate' scratchplate and the use of the surplus Hayman stock neck. Serial number 6022. The bass itself sounds awesome giving a really throaty punchy growly tone (not a million miles away from a Ric neck pickup) with loads or presence and sustain. All original. Stereo output option (splits the E A strings to one amp, and D G to another). Nice and light, and well balanced. Holds its tuning really well. Beautiful vintage sunburst complemented with a lovely maple neck. Looks terrific in the mirror! Obviously, given its age, there are a few knocks and bumps on this particular example but I imagine that most people considering one of these items would be aware of that fact. I can throw in a gig bag, stereo lead and brand new strap that I bought specifically for this. Just looking for what I paid for it. Happy to post as buyers expense but might need a few days to get the box/materials together. Any questions, fire away. Thanks. -
Noisy power supply (Strymon + Diago Micropower)

So assuming an isolated power supply will fix the problem, what other ones are people using out there? More than happy to spend serious money for the right product. -

Thanks a lot. I did suspect it might be an isolation issue but a not aware enough to know for sure what exactly cases it and how to fix it. Incidentally, I could do with a 12v output too for my TC Nova delay. Thanks again -

So I recently splashed out on a couple of quality Strymon delay pedals (El Capistan and DIG) which I am completely in love with. However, when powered by my Diago MicroPower9 there is a very subtle but audible high pitch ringing/hiss both when engaged and bypassed. This noise does stop as soon the pedals are powered by there own individual 9v power supplies. So my questions are: has anyone else had this particular issue, and; can anyone recommend a way of getting around this rather than being forced to carry around 3/4 separate power supply cables. I am more than happy to purchase a more suitable (better(?)) power supply assuming a different one will definitely rectify the issue. Thanks in advance.

I am on the lookout for places that can cut pickguards to a custom shape. I have found a couple of places online but just thought I would see if anyone had any first hand experience and any recommendations. Thanks in advance.

[/quote] Its interesting that you ask that actually as I was looking for the same information before buying it. Personally, I am really impressed with the depth of the reverb. Its obviously not got the lushness of the Eterna but is more than useful for most applications and the spring reverb makes an interesting complement to the Eterna. Interestingly, I have just found a way of setting it up so that it can be used solely as a reverb pedal which opens up yet more options on an already feature laden pedal. This is particularly useful if you have the favorite button so you can go between just a spring reverb sound to the full on delay (with or without reverb) at the press of a switch.

Just thought I would quickly share with you all the latest evolution of my board. Need to add a true bypass switch (for switching on multiple effects at once, namely the POG and Organizer (sic)) and replace that daft red lead. As you may have guessed, I am one of those more ambient style bassists.

I adored my Pedaltrain Jr - that was until my POG2 got busted up inside it whilst in transit. I have since returned to my Diago board for complete no-stress protection. In my personal experience, the ease of handling and transport of the soft cases does not come close to the requirement to house my pedals with security.

Hey all. I am thinking about building my own single channel true bypass looper pedal which will be used to switch on multiple pedals at once. Hoping to keep it simple at this stage - just one switch with four jack inputs in a small box (not even interested in an LED). Just wondered if anyone has any experience in this build and maybe point me in the right direction of build diaries, components, schematics etc etc. Cheers.

I love my Mr Black Eterna and is probably the only reverb pedal I will ever need.

Yeah, I was dubious too when I read about it before but that well made demo made it sounds really interesting. I eagerly await a video/review using a bass.
