  1. Have a bump from me. Amazing basses, highest quality short scale I have ever played. My capri orange one is like your one's louder (looking) cousin!
  2. If it helps: the standard Mullarkey short scale is 30" and this is described on Bass Gallery website as a short scale
  3. This was mine, previously. It's a wonderful playing bass in excellent condition and benefits from being one of the lightest Jazz basses I have ever played. Hoping the Ibanez sells and you get to keep this
  4. £50 posted for Bass Muff, removed BBE Compressor from sales as decided to keep it
  5. Just met Ben to hand over my Fender Jazz. Great dealings, friendly, good comms etc. All good👍
  6. Fuzzrocious pesal has arrived and (a) I haven't noticed any hum with the Rick and (b) it is much more flexible than the EHX bass muff (especially the mids control), giving a broader range of sounds. The EHX sounds quite "raw" by comparison. Thanks for the recommendation Si!
  7. 3-month old EHX Bass Muff Nano in vgc (velcro underneath) and boxed. Worked fantastically with my Mustang bass but not so compatible with my single coil pickups Rick, hence I have upgraded to a spendier Fuzzrocious muff pedal. £60 posted NOW £50 POSTED Pics below edit: oops, wrong box pictured for Bass Muff but rest assured I have the right one!) EDIT: REMOVED OPTOSTOMP FROM SALE< KEEPING
  8. Change of mind. Keeping it, so I have two amazing shorties to choose from 😀
  9. "This won't hang around" The kiss of death
  10. Hmmm, thanks for this. Si. I haven't received an email reply and by the looks of your post, it might be ages before I actually got my hands on a Tarkin pedal. Think I will investigate the Fuzzrocious instead Edit: I ordered the purple one at Joes Pedals you linked to 😀
  11. As an update, I have dropped an email to Cog regarding availability and build time of a Tarkin fuzz. I recall reading on BC questions over whether they were continuing in business but their website looks active so hopefully I will get a reply
  12. Thats super helpful thanks Si. I wouldn't trust myself with a soldering iron (and don't know anyone else who could do it) so will work my way through researching links on each of the pre-made pedals you suggested. Cheers!
  13. Hi all, I use a Big Muff Nano pedal for 2 or 3 songs in my band's live set. With my Mustang bass its fine but with my Rick 4001 the hum is really intrusive and noisy. I have read that Big Muffs don't always interact well with single coil pickups, which could explain it. Questions I have are: 1. Am I right in thinking its the interaction with single coil pickups (the Mustang with hum cancelling P type pickup acts as the 'control arm' of the experiment, proving its not connections, patch leads or faulty pedal)? Do other BCers have this experience? 2. If so, is there a Big Muff Nano alternative which isn't hellish expensive that doesn't have this issue? Thanks in advance, Clarky
  14. I will throw in free UK 48 hour courier delivery for my advertised price
  15. Yep. The mediums are red at both ends, the solos are yellow at the top. This is a useful string identifier from Gollihur, for future reference: https://gollihurmusic.com/string-identification-chart/
  16. Fun gig in Southend on Friday night. Goth club " Cult 13" right by the pier. First live outing of the '73 Rick
  17. "Who wants to buy a kidney?" Makes me icky and its really not funny
  18. Classic colour scheme, noticeably lighter than an average Jazz and plays beautifully. Gwaaann!
