  1. Will do, am waiting on some oval mother of pearl crown neck stickers from US to make it look more like a "regular" Euro 4 (and the earlier IH edition from c.15 years ago). Plays beautifully and sounds nice and punchy. Also the blemishes are virtually invisible on the gloss black, thankfully. To all intents and purposes, anyone from a foot or two away would think its brand new/mint
  2. I did buy it. I paid several hundred less than the one on Andy Baxter's site after our haggling. Think Tony I is just a bit rubbish at updating Gumtree advert (it said "weeks old" when he first listed it last year, when he had not long bought it from BassDirect ... given how many adverts he has, I think he just hits refresh when an ad expires!) I had a good experience PS, mine weighs 8 pounds 2.5 ounces, so almost identical weight to Andy Baxter's (1 pound more)

    In Memoriam

Oh no. I used to be friends on FaceBook with her (I left FB in the pandemic and never went back) and she was always a beacon of positivity and friendiness 😞 Sending belated condolences to her husband, very sad to read this
  4. Actually I have enough cardboard to effect a safe parcel. Reckon its about £15-20 posted and I would charge the actual agreed amount
  5. The classic small footprint MB150S combo with GK carry bag. Often used by great DB players eg Charlie Haden and (I am told) many studio recordings on electric bass too. I bought this on the forum 15 months ago for an acoustic project that didn't ultimately happen, so its literally unused since I acquired it. Good condition compared with most MB150S combos (which scratch very easily). I don't currently have a strong enough box so its meet up only in a safe public space in London SW13 (Barnes, south of perma-closed Hammersmith Bridge).
  6. The annual clear out of excess basses, pedals etc begins ....

Fender Geddy, Fender CIJ P, tube preamp/DI. Already sold GK combo, a bunch of pedals and a posh PSU in a flurry of deals. Just trying to pad out my feedback thread as its only up to 15 pages 😆 Yikes

I would've been very interested in your CIJ P, but typically a buyer has just had to pull out of buying my Competition Burgundy Vintera II Mustang due to car troubles. :angry2:

  7. Sorry one more post: its wearing well worn TI Jazz Flats and plays like .... you know!
  8. Well £15 post will look after that! I pack well and am not exactly short of feedback here, lol!
  9. Prices including post Korg tuner (larger, older model)- £15 SOLD TC Spark Booster (with box) - £30 BBE Optostomp (with box) - £55 SOLD OneSpot charger plus daisy chain - £15 Pedaltrain Nano plus padded bag - £30 Better yet, buy the lot (minus Optostomp, now sold), save me multiple trips to Post Office and you can have everything including Pedal Train Nano board and carry bag (£55 new) for £75 posted
  10. Bought as "upgrade" to my old T Rex 9V power unit as I thought I needed a 12V capability. I don't. So take advantage of me splurging £155 needlessly and get a decent discount on an essentially new unit. £110 posted
  11. Incredibly light, back-friendly Fender Traditional 60s P bass bought at start of 2025 from FenderFever (see ad below with pics and specifications). Great workhorse bass, ideal for longer gigs or if (like me) you have back or neck issues. Has a few dings and dongs here and there on edges etc, nothing egregious, and I added DiMarzio creme DP122 pickups (£95) for a Martyn Casey of The Bad Seeds/1980s vibe. The original Fender Japan pickup will also come with the bass. Comes with new Fender padded gig bag (if you wanted to sell on the DiMarzio pickup and gigbag you could probably get the net cost below £700, just sayin'). Selling as the usual too many basses and my Geddy Lee Jazz isn't moving (looks like I will end up using it just for home noodling). Collection safe public space in SW13 London or £15 economy delivery in UK. I need to take some better pics as my two make it look a bit brown. FenderFever pics show the burst better https://fenderfever.com/products/2879
  12. I have rarely seen a relic'd CS bass look so authentically "vintage". The Avantguard scratchplate is superb and the finishing touch. Beauty! Have a bump on me
  13. Fyi, I am selling a new/unused set of abalone crown stickers in the FS 'other items' section, in case you fancy making your dot necked Spector look a little more fancy EDIT: NOW SOLD
  14. I ordered a set each of abalone and mother of pearl oval crown stickers for my new (to me) Ian Hill Spector. The MOP suit the black gloss finish better so am passing the abalone set straight on. Unavailable in UK, had to source these from a US ebay seller. Avoid the transAtlantic hassle and lob £15 my way to upgrade your dot necked Spector!

  15. Recently bought a nice comp/DI pedal off John. All was hunky dory, very pleased. Thanks John!
  16. You could try me with a very near offer as I have definitely decided that - however nice this valve preamp is - it doesn't quite suit my needs
  17. Well, after a couple of recent buys that didn't work out (for weight reasons), I messaged Tony about the Spector Ian Hill. He sent videos of its condition and him playing it and we agreed a price that both felt was fair (which took into account my comments on the post I have quoted above). Totally legit guy, very friendly and clearly his prices are flexible. Hope this is helpful
