  1. Would also do a deal with my as-new Orange Bass Terror amp if collected. Together, a very loud and meaty classic rock rig.
  2. Think this used to be mine. Lovely thing that IIRC is light for a Ric at 9.0 pounds. GLWYS
  3. Orange TB Mkll, bought new last year and used for just 2 gigs. Valvey sounding and very loud but with the clean switch for more modern sounds. Still in pristine condition and with padded bag, also in pristine condition. Would be hard to find a cleaner one second-hand. No longer needed as I have a Handbox WB100 for full-fat valley goodness plus a Trace Elf as emergency back-up. Pics to follow when it’s stopped being so dark and gloomy here! £375 including delivery or knock a tenner off for collection from SW13 London. I am also selling a Barefaced Super Twin with cover for £800 and would do a deal on both (which would make a super loud, old school rig) if collected.
  4. Sold a nifty PJB combo to Smanth. Very friendly comms and a pleasure to deal with! Enjoy, Smanth 😀
  5. Sounds like deliberate syncopation to me but, right or wrong what does it really matter? The intended audience was in a disco, too busy shaking their derrieres and having a good time rather than analysing note choices and musical accuracy. Besides, there are plenty of egregious bum notes/string buzz etc in classic tracks. Take a listen to around 5:02 on Coltrane's Favorite Things. Pianist drops a blooper and I love it and always listen out for it!
  6. Afraid the offer above has lapsed as the stool is on its way (still free of charge) to @PaulThePlug
  7. If anyone has a Serek or Wilcock short scale they would consider trading, I may be interested. No other trades I'm afraid
  8. 2011 Spector Ian Hill in superb 9.5/10 condition. Comes with a generic hard case. This is a tough one as the bass is very hard to find (the neck is slimmer front to back than most Spectors), looks wonderfully cool in gloss black and plays superbly. However, having given it my best shot, the weight (9.2 pounds) is just not comfortable for my rubbish back and I have decided (after flip flopping) to move to short scale only. £1350 plus post at cost (£30 ish in UK). Or collect SW13, south of Hammersmith Bridge.
  9. Thanks WoT. Since this means nothing to a techno numpty like me, is there anyone who makes this commercially? I haven't gigged my WB-100 yet (band hiatus) but should resume gigging soon so would be good to have this in the cables bag
  10. And replied 😀
  11. Nifty little PJB combo, perfect for quiet acoustic/double bass gigs and home practice. As new condition with all packaging (which means I can post). Reason for sale: I have too many amps and cabs so am doing a bit of New Year rationalising. Hasn't left my house. £225 plus a tenner for post.
  12. You know the score. 1200W at 4 ohms, 2x12" monster cab. Very good condition with Barefaced padded cover (made by Roqsolid). I got it about 8 months ago on the forum and have not used it in anger once as I also have a smaller-footprint Barefaced Big Baby 2 which it turns out is plenty loud enough for my needs. No box, so its collected only from SW13 London, south of Hammersmith Bridge. New this is £1199 without padded cover. £800 collected seems more than fair. Specs here: https://barefacedbass.com/product-range/Super-Twin.htm
  13. Another deal with Yannick, this time me selling a bass to him (a lovely Serek). As smooth as I could have wished for and has restored my faith in buying/selling from mainland Europe. Cheers Yannick!
  14. @Beedster? You wanted to experiment with short scale fretless IIRC?
  15. I have used these on basses with poor dot visibility https://glowtec.co.uk/product/starglow-fret-finders/
  16. Looks like its still available at BassDirect https://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Spector_Euro_LE_77_SH_CS.html
  17. 0% positive feedback and only 1 feedback mention from more than a year ago. May be legit but hmmmm
  18. On Hold, subject to agreeing delivery logistics
  19. Fantastic job, sir. What amazing woods underneath the original finish
  20. Yep, I am considering another Serek or a Wilcock Mullarkey or Bisonic. Unfortunately (but not for them!) their wait lists have gone up a lot in the past year .... so I have some thinking to do.
  21. It’s the name of the model. See here https://www.musicradar.com/reviews/guitars/fender-pawn-shop-mustang-bass-573834
  22. 2021 Serek Lincoln (34" scale) in deep satin plum. Very much a Gibson Ripper/Grabber vibe visually but lighter weight and beautifully hand made by Jake Serek and team in Chicago. Very good condition bar two tiny nicks in the thin nitro paint (pictured). Plays slickly with new DR Pure Blues 40-100 nickel rounds. Nut width 1 5/8". Lots of tonal variation from the twin single pickups, which can be selected: bridge solo; neck solo; parallel; series (very punchy). Comes with high quality padded Serek gigbag. Weighs just over 8 pounds, so very comfy. Its a truly fab bass and I am only selling as I am potentially funding a new custom short scale and, of my two Sereks, l (marginally) prefer my short scale Midwestern 1. Full spec here for the Lincoln model: https://www.serekbasses.com/basses/lincoln/ £2000 firm price which is less than I paid to acquire this on BC and over £1k less than a new one would cost, including import duty/VAT from the US (approx. $4,000 for this specification). * No trades thanks * Collection SW13 London or delivery at cost (UK only) via UPS. Sausage dog (Woody) not included
