I apologise for my last post, much more verbose than my earlier one

4. I just emailed Bass centre who (I think) have Elites made for them and will post up what they say. Hope its more helpful than Rotosound's spokesperson!
5. Best reply ever from customer relations at Rotosound: "I know nothing about these strings ….. Sorry"
6. I've emailed Rotosound to ask when they are expecting to release them and will post their reply on this thread when I get it

8. Great rehearsal tonight for this gig - for the bass gearstalkers, I will be using my Takamine B10 fretless acoustic and DI'ing, given the tiny stage and that there are six of us
9. Update: Lando are sending me gratis the larger sized loops so jwbassman and Steve should be sorted and the clamps are no longer up for grabs
10. Does anyone need one or two extra clamps? Unfortunately the standard size ones I got for jwbassman are not large enough for his locking XLR sockets?
11. B*gger, forgot to set Sky Plus Hopefully its all there on Friday repeat of Jools. Funnily enough was listening to their classic first album only last week. Wonderful stuff http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1iQl46-zIcM
12. Astonishing stuff (from about 50 secs) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=okFYLCQtim0
13. Jimmy. This http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=89yw7wqoaio
14. Bump for a very decent BCer and a cracking cab - if I didn't suffer from the 'grass is always greener' syndrome (ie, GAS) I would still own John's fantastic-sounding old Wizzy 12, not the heavier Acme B2 2x10" cab I now own (and my back doesn't like me for owning!)
15. aha thanks. As far as I am aware mine is one-of-a-kind!
16. Exactly like that! Is that a photo taken by Sfx before posting to me or does my pedal in fact have a twin?
17. Full ad in new classified section but this is a custom order version of SFX' lovely tubey sounding warmth/overdrive pedal, the Micro Red Dragon, but with an added DI/XLR so it can be used straight to PA or studio like a Sansamp (but nicer sounding!) It cost me £220 and has not left my house - I am after £175 posted given its completely one-of-akind, very nice and essentially unused. No trades, its a fund-raiser. Sorry no sound clips but here's a vid with the related Ultra Red Dragon My pedal is smaller and less complicated than the one in the vid (three knobs, a stomp switch and a light!). Can send pictures if you PM me your email address
18. Roland Microcube - here's an ad for it (out of stock here but some retailer's bound to have one) http://www.andertons.co.uk/combo-amps/pid13888/cid691/roland-bass-microcube-rx-batterymains-powered-bass-ampfree-6m-lead.asp?utm_source=googlebase&utm_medium=pricecomp&utm_campaign=GoogleShopping
19. Noone can upload pics right now, as far as I am aware Nick (continuing fallout from recent hacking attack). You will need to upload pics to Flickr or such like and paste in the link - or send pics via email
20. Bump with reminder of trade options in past #4
21. Withdrawing due to lack of interest. Wrong time of year methinks
22.
Can't listen without buying, my friend. Is there a website or soundcloud page?
Just click on the player Bilbo - you don't have to buy BTW, James, sounds great! I like a bit of gypsy jazz
23. From a poster on TalkBass: "As for what his strings sound and play like, I was one of Dannys "Secret shopper testers". He passed the prototype sets out to a good few of us to try and give feedback. I still have the prototypes on my main Bass. A basic overview: Similar to Spirocore (no surprises there) with that growly low end but a much more even and warmer top end. An easier tension and not as metallic sounding out of the packet, much better with the Bow than Spirocores and better than Helicores when bowed too. Very even sound across all strings bowed or plucked. I've used Spirocores and Helicores on both my Basses for years but I'll be using these from now on." Just when I settle on Spirocore Weich as 'my strings' I read this - these sound great!!! Obviously I would like to see some more reviews before jumping in though
