  1. I've got an entry this month. Bass is my Ibby through the Plugin Alliance Ampeg B-50N. Drums & vocals by Logic (just had fun chopping things up). Lyrics are: Baby baby, Baby baby (x several), Alright.
  2. 3 music related companies come to mind that have been above & beyond in their after service. Hercules. I had a stand that was a couple of years old & the plastic bits went sticky, so I emailed to ask if they knew how to remove the sticky residue. They asked for my details & sent me a new stand. Roli. My Rise25 which was about 3 years old, developed a charging fault & wouldn’t charge over USB. I asked them if they knew how I could fix it or what it would cost. They sent me a returns label (paid for shipping) & fixed it free of charge. Cambridge Audio. I got a pair of Melomania 1+ earbuds last Xmas. A couple of months ago they wouldn’t turn on & had no lights on them. I emailed them & they tried some diagnostic things over email, but still wouldn’t work. They sent me a returns email & it was collected that morning & the new pair arrived the following morning. I’d happily buy from these companies again.
  3. Very good. 🤣
  4. For me, it’s the laid back simplicity that I like about them. The groove, the open sunny day sound & the way the guitarist is not like 100000000 other guitarists. But yes, they’re not for everyone.
  5. Nah. The more I listen to them, the more I like them.
  6. Laura Lee has a fantastic sound & sublime grooves.
  7. See if you can get your tone with either just the 2x10 or the 1x15 (if the 2x10 can be disconnected, that is). If so, then you know what cab you need. If not, then it’s either your bass or try a different amp. Can you get the sound you want from your bass without that rig (e.g. through your computer)?
  8. That’s the same 2 as I got. The GK is the more versatile of the 2. I’m gonna stick them on my laptop & try them at band jam tonight.
  9. Some funk & soul ones. Sik Sonic The Comodoes Price Came The O’ays The Inernet The Cue
  10. I don’t actually know that it’s good for anything. 🤣
  11. I’ve got Chromes on my Ibby, been on for about 8 years now. Great sounding & feel good too, but now finding the tension a little too tight for the style of music I’m doing. So now I’m looking for a lower tension.
  12. This Alibaba ad popped up on my Facebook & made me chuckle. I’d love to see someone play this thing.
  13. Fantastic song off a great album.
  14. I’ve listened to the album a few times. I think it’s a decent album with some superb playing. You should watch some of their live stuff.
  15. Other places to look are Reverb, Gumtree & Facebook.
  16. Cheers @Quatschmacher One ability that I’d like, is to be able to split the keys so I can play bass & pads when the other keys player is on clarinet. I currently play either lekky bass or synth bass (using controller & MacBook). I want a good keybed & plan on going to try all on the final shortlist. That’s a shame to hear about the Polybrute. My current NI S61 mk2 has a Fatar keybed & it’s a very nice keyboard to play (though it’s getting sold to fund a synth). I’ve looked at the Sledge before & it seemed cracking value, but it’s not really what I’m looking for.
  17. I looked at the Prologue, but they’re no longer in production. Don’t really want to go down the rack/desktop synth & controller route & the P6 /OB6 have the same issue as the Polybrute, limited polyphony. Though I have been noseying the Rev2.
  18. Thanks. I watched J3PO on the Wave 2 last night. It sounds great too, so added to the list to try. I plan on getting the Roland KS10Z stand, it’s a heavy duty fold up Z stand.
  19. Loving Jungle (the band), which oddly enough don't play any Jungle (the genre).
  20. I choose to listen to just about every genre of music. I think God has given me enough wisdom to choose wisely. Today I listened to Talking Heads - 77 & then Mitski - Be The Cowboy. Both fantastic albums & both musically far better than anything by Hillsong, Bethel or Elevation. Neither are about God, but nor are they about Satan or even about falling away from God.
  21. The Roland X synths seem to be ticking all the boxes so far. They have the easy access to patches, layering & splitting, lots of tweakability on the front panel & can be integrated into my daw for studio use. But I’m still gonna try a few out & open to looking at other ideas. One think I’d like to do with whatever I get is play bass & keys/pad/arp on it.
  22. That’s a good idea, but not what I’m looking for just now.
  23. Cheers @BigRedX That’s some great points you’ve given. I like creating sounds, but also happy tweaking a patch that’s close to the sound I want. Im not a pianist, but I’d like a decent polyphony & 61 keys is my preference. I looked at the System 8, but being plastic & 49 keys is not selling points to me. Though I agree, it’s a very capable synth. The Roland X synths attract me as they tick a lot of boxes for me, but I want to weigh up all the options & get other’s opinions on what’s available.
