I sell my Genzler Magellan 800, very good condition. The amp is delivered in a case that fits the original package material like a glove. I can ship at buyers expense. No UK power cable, since I am in Sweden, but that should be a lesser problem. 800 W RMS, can be loaded down to 2.67 ohms. Two channels: clean and somewhat dirty. Soft side velcro on top for "always-on pedals" or wireless etc. Can be taken off... Light as a feather... Original packaging... Lid on... Ready to go... No trades on this one...

A warning to those that use Class D amps

Then you will need some kind of power conditioner, that always feed the correct voltage regardless of source... -
When can we expect a review??
After my holiday trip to the north of Sweden. I'll gig with it on June 15th, hopefully...

Playhouse bought a bass from me; swift and effortless, a nice guy to deal with. Just like that. Then everything c*cked up, when first the Swedish Postnord managed to "mislay" the bass for six days at their own depot. Then - at the other end of the chain - DHL neglected to inform playhouse the bass was in their custody. After a series of phone calls to one "Postnorder" after another, the last guy told me with a surprised voice the bass was at DHL's depot. Many prayers, curses and sleepless nights later - for both of us - the bass finally moved in at playhouse's playhouse. Five days of planned delivery time took 23 days in real life. To make a long story short: a real gentleman to do business with...

I used to own a QSC PLX3402, a gigantic amp capable of putting out 2 x 1700 W RMS in 2 ohms. Bridged 3400 W RMS in 4 ohms. Class D amp weighing some 9 kg, c:a 20 lbs. It has a neat feature: a high pass filter you can set at 30 Hz (Perfect!!!), 50 Hz (Not recommended - it eats flesh!) or bypass, but that means you can push your woofers out of the frame by just pushing the strings towards the pickup. The 30 Hz roll-off makes nearly no audible difference from flat, but you won't see the woofers move. These amps are out of production now, newer successors are out, so they can be found at reasonable price.

Maybe - just maybe - I order one today. Just like that...

I bought a "little black headless bass" from Cairobill. The only thing I can say is, if the British government ruled the Kingdom (and maybe the whole Empire) as well as Cairobill wrapped the bass, then Brexit would be a walk in the park, a so called piece of cake. (If that's what desired.) A Swift, smooth operation, even if a washing machine breakdown on my side got in the way a while. Can I recommend doing business with Cairobill? To quote the Members of the Parliament: Yay! Yay to 100 %. Roger and out!

Well, I am already sold. I will have one soon...

There is something for everyone; those who want to pay £200 can buy £200 stuff. those who want otherwise can buy otherwise. My experience says if you want something really good really bad (no pun intended) it is just a matter of priority, time or timing...
Has the Aurora been discontinued? Couldn't find any trace of it on the Vanderkley site.
It seems to have been replaced by the Spartan.

Here are my babies gathered for a family photo shoot: The purple Sklar looks black; it is a pain in the you-know-where to capture that colour in lamp light.
It arrived unreserved into Bass Direct. It was just tooo gorgeous, and I've traded out three other basses including my rather fabulous flame-top AB1 for it. But no regrets at all... BTW - why is my picture so small?
This sure is a beauty. Please, post some pic's "all around" so we can see the details...

I read that review yesterday evening. It sounds like something I'd like...

I've been eyeballing the Vanderkley Spartan lately and find it very interesting. Anyone out there who has experience in this amp?

My main gig rig right now, or maybe: one of my two main gig rigs: Quilter BassBlock 800 with two TKS S112 or the same amp with one TKS 2126. Compact anyhow. With four string bass I prefer the small cabs. Works for electric bass, acoustic bass guitar and acoustic upright. With my five and six string basses I take the big cab. If I ever need two 2126 I use my old Eden WT800B...
The preamp is the latter A-designated preamp e.g. an XL2 with this fitted would be an XL2A. Original preamps were powered VVT identical to a Jazz, the A preamp had the centre-detented boost and cut control which is active. This bass is a rare as rocking horse droppings and, as such, is very well priced. Good luck with the sale.
Thanx for the info!
