1. I'd do the recording. Surely, the songs you are going to record will be well rehearsed by then? Concentrate on getting them right. You can always re-record the bass if you feel you need to. If you still feel unsure, you could always play a shorter set at the gig? Besides, 25 songs is quite a big repertoire anyway. Never mind 30!
 2.
Bargain Price If I didn't have 2 PA Rigs I'd be having this back Dunc !
Two rigs is enough for any one man! If I didn't need to store it at home and keep lugging it up and down stairs on my own, I would be keeping it!
 3.
Yep
Nice one! Great bass and the Staytrem bridge certainly makes is far superior to stock models. If I didn't have to buy some PA cabs soon I would be seriously considering buying it back! GLWTS.
 4.
We played a Saturday every month at a venue, for 4 years. Sold a sh*t load of booze and filled the place up (you have to pay to get in). The crowd loved us and danced the night away. The owner, loved the money we made for him (even though he was a Jazzer and probably wasn't really into our music) and kept on booking us, as we pulled a crowd. Unfortunately he passed away and his daughter took over the bar. Since then we haven't been booked for any gigs and she ignores our emails. Now she books muso Jazz bands, which are not going to appeal to an under 30s crowd, on a Saturday night. Good luck to her, I hope she doesn't go out of business..
We played at a home town pub, it used to be very busy but the landlords daughter took it over and made it into a dance sort of rave pub? Weird as ravers were renowned for not drinking! Anyway, St George's Day we played and it was unbelievably busy from 11am. So much so that, although we were on free beer all day, we went to the local Wetherspoons to get served! We played and then they shut the gig down, turned it into a rave thing again. Everybody left and about 14 kid 'ravers' turned up and we're incredibly obnoxious to the folk that were left. We decided not to play there again...
 5.
Blimey... I must get round to flogging mine. At that rate I might even make a profit!
Tell us more...
 6. Is this my old one?
 7.
Can you have a row with Mrs Itsmedunc, leave the Thunder2 nearby so that she can break it (please specify near the TOP of the headstock) and sell me the remains CHEAP??
Mrs itsmedunc is on the wine. I can't start an argument as it will be my neck that's broken!
 8. I don't know if it's just me but every Rik I've ever played, felt like an old plank with an Ikea kitchen door nailed to it? I really don't see the attraction!
 9.
I'd like to find a cheap one with a broken headstock which could be converted to headless...let me know if anybody breaks one...
I've got the Thunder 2 V2 now. It's virtually a T3. The only difference I can see is, the 2 has a different headstock decal. This one has soap bars and mine has P/J's but that was just part of the differing version on all models. They are truly great basses. Never Mind The Headstocks!
 10. Thunder 3. One of the best! Love em!
 11. Andy bought a Freeman bass from me. Absolutely no problems. He's a really nice guy and I wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again. Thanks Andy!
 12.
Oh rioght didnt realise that in which case can someone take it down? didnt realise. Seems a pretty pointless thing to not be able to but dont wanna upset peeps. Sorry Jon
At the bottom of your post, you will see the editor. Just delete it from there.
 13. I have both of these up in separate ads but if you want to buy the two together the price is £1300. Both in good condition and work really well together. The desk is a brilliant piece of kit but in a never ending bid to streamline, I want to change it over to a Behringer XR18. The X18 (which can be controlled from an iPad, Android devices, Mac or PC) has 16 Midas preamps, 6 aux channels (brilliant for in ears) and countless routing possibilities. Built in effects, compression etc. You can save all the settings, which is great for recalling settings from venues etc where you have already played. Saves loads of sound check time. Shows straight up in Logic etc for multi-track recording. It's about 12 months old. http://www.gear4musi...CFUQq0wodY6sIzw The HK rig sounds great. 2 tops, 2 subs. We put 4 vocals, 2guitars, bass and the full kit through it with ease. Very small footprint. Has covers but one of the zips is knackered. http://hkaudio.com/products.php?id=7 http://www.theaudiow...-pa-system.html I will sell the rig on its own for £1000 but will not sell the desk separately. Trade Barefaced FR800, RCF 735 / 745 Collection from Blackburn, Lancs, BB22SH and demo would be preferred but may be able to meet up.
 14.
I think that it the truth. In reality what to me sounded raw and energetic in the mid 70s sounds pretty tame nowadays.
Aye that's true. Many of the punk /new wave tracks are used on tv ads nowadays too. There's even one on at the moment that starts off the same as Fight Back by Discharge!
 15. I cant believe this hasn't sold already. I'm selling a combo with one in and if it sells, I'm seriously thinking of buying it! Fabulous piece of kit!
 16.
I'm not sure they are "still relevant today"? to those that have always liked them but I doubt many young people know who they are. Awaits the "my daughter loves them!" Comments, well they will if they've been bought up on them.
Lyrically, I meant really but after a load of beer I just got too excited!
 17.
Before PM'ing you, is international shipping and trades for other high end bass gear out of the table? Cheers
International postage is possible but the buyer would have to pay all transaction fees. Every time I sell something overseas, the bank charges me £30 or so. A sale is needed really as I'm trying to fund some Barefaced PA Cabs. Thanks...
 18.
I tell you what, if you're ever up Warwickshire / Oxford way, I'm in! Let me know...
Thank you! Will do!
 19.
40 years?!! Still one of my fave albums...
Come and see us then! https://youtu.be/5C8z2peXsqA https://youtu.be/qRkSX_WiQbs https://youtu.be/k3RgZVII58M
 20. A few conflicting dates online but anywhere between now and thre 8th will do. How good is that? 40 years ago and still relevant today! Truly an immense band!
 21. As least this thread isn't as anal like some of the others.
 22. Great PA working 100%. A real quality rig. Only selling to finance a lighter weight Barefaced system. We have been using it for - 4 vocals, 2 guitars, bass and full kit. It handles all of that with ease. Lightweight and no more lugging power amps around! Spec - http://hkaudio.com/products.php?id=7 http://www.theaudiow...-pa-system.html Only just noticed, there's a depression in the back corner of one of the subs (photo 10) but purely cosmetic. All round good condition. Has covers but the zip on one of them is knackered. Any questions, please ask. Only trade for Barefaced FR800, maybe FR800s. May be able to deliver or meet up but collection from BB22SH and demo much preferred. Pics to follow.
 23.
I sold it to Dunc and can vouch it is all working perfectly. Aux and headphones work and are a very handy feature for practicing. Not many of these about!! Be quick!
Thanks for that. Its brilliant but other stuff needs addressing. Woe! I'm honestly gutted....
