Have you thought about trying to use an EQ pedal?

Thinking of doing another if/when a couple of cheap 12" drivers come up for sale.

Sounds like you need to go and play one or a few. Where abouts are you?

Yeah those are probably the nicest gigbags I've ever seen, just so expensive when you look at what you can get for half as much.

I've gone from various combinations of all this: ...back to just this: It sounds great as a preamp and does absolutely everything I need in a very un-f***-up-able package.

What a pain in the arse, shocking when you consider that their [url="http://www.amplifiercoversonline.com/zencart/index.php"]competition[/url] is so good.

I think you're response is very fair - i.e. the fact that you don't lend anything because of insurance issues and massive repair bills. They can't really argue with that, and if they do, then it's tough sh*t as far as I can see.
