22.
I know it sounds strange, but I could instantly do it from day 1. My dad is a bass player and I grew up watching him practice. He's not a slap player at all though, he just used to try and do the odd bit, but as soon as I picked up the bass I had the right motion, and was pretty accurate. The only thing I've had to work on was speed and groove. The actual technique just always came naturally! It took me longer to learn pick and fingers than it did slapping!
Same for me,i got put on the spot when i was a guitarist, someone handed me a bass and i could just do it in a basic way, never looked back from then on,i love slap bass,to me its always felt a little bit like playing the drums rather than guitar.
23. I play in a nude prog/jazz ensemble called the kennyballs.I would post some pics but am afraid i would get a site ban.We have been going about 6 months with the new line up.The reception is generally mixed at gigs but we are building up a decent fan base now.
24. The kinder bueno one is the funkiest.
25. The track is called the chicken, its by alan hawkshaw who was the king of the bbc kpm library music selection, this guy is a true unsung hero of music, not sure who the bassist was but i have hundreds of kpm albums thanks to some idiot chucking out a load at a jumble sale in my village about 15 years ago.Alan hawkshaw was responsible for the mohawks and most of the test signal music you will remember from the 70s and 80s,he also wrote the brilliant theme tune for arthur c clarkes mysterious world.Sorry i dont have a tab.
