I won't watch it this year as its not in a foreign country which takes the fun out of it for me. I will miss all the gorgeous exotic female presenters though.
Had a blast through mixing desk and this feels great. I just did a refuge of the roads type thing and this is a great bass. The build quality is great.
Well I took the plunge and it's a beautiful instrument. I might be wrong but the body looks like a single piece of Ash??!. I love playing fretless again really slows you down and makes everything sensual and expressive. The head/neck dive is terrible though. I sort of like the fact it weighs a ton though. Feels really solid. Can't go wrong for 150 squid.
I was thinking about buying one of those HB fretless. Everyone on YouTube seems pleased. I thought I might stick a cheap preamp in, like those Guyker ones. Any thoughts?
Been listening to dad's albums and this band were just amazing. There's so much decent bass playing. I know they went through a few. Apart from that watching and listening they were so influencial.
You could do mate but it would be a chew on with probably not very good results. Spray paint will just look crap after a while. You could get it powder coated or anodised but I don't think the expense would be worth it. Sorry.
I started using a noise gate and it has really cleaned up my playing. I play a lot of precise jazz funk type stuff. Am I cheating have loads of people been cheating? Tbh I never use a compressor but thinking I might get one now. Its been a bit of a revelation tbh.
Just after a bit of know how really. Much appreciated. I have never really played through effects. Recently acquired an old Alesis quadraverb which is a great bit of kit for guitar reverb. Anyhow stuck bass in one night and sounds amazing. The setting is called stereo spread. Thing is it seems to have also tidied up my playing there are no noises the volume is even when I slap. It almost feels like like notes have a very slight delay when playing and a bit like notes are being sucked out of fingers. I have a feeling it might be a noise gate? Or compressor? Any ideas?
I'm from the village where Geordies got their name from. I have lived down south aswell. I got sick of the place then left and came back. Now I'm bored of it again. It's nice enough but I do find it a bit cheesy and very provincial I can't stand Ant and Dec or Sam Fender either. The women are lovely until they open their mouths and you realise this Scandinavian looking godess sounds like a fish wife. It's a lot safer than London or Manchester though.
Anyone think this bloke is really underrated. I was listening to lovers in the back seat and it's great playing. Sounds a bit like ash's to ash's but better.
I still think there's some studio trickery. Disco was a machine a mass industry and was very polished. Bernard Edwards was incredibly precise though. I know he used bc rich,Fender and Musicman would be interested to know if he used mutes.
