  1. Loved my Trace rig, best sound I have ever had, the downside was the hernia I had through lugging it about, especially the 4 x 10 cab, after this I moved over to the lighter MarkBass rig.
  2. That looks very much like the C*ck Inn in Werrington, I thought they had knocked bands on the head there, played there many times, lots of changes with management over the last few years made it very inconsistent with band bookings and cancellations.
  3. Coverdale at his finest, unfortunately a pale shadow of the vocals nowadays.
  4. Why the ridiculous delivery dates, it’s not a three piece suite that’s being purchased, it’s a small bag of strings.
  5. Wearing a belt like lot 2 on stage, you end up with the damage to the rear of the Bolin Precision ☹️
  6. I was thinking how I would describe it, then I read Upside Downers post, exactly Jingly Jangly but not in a good way like the Birds. The vocals were pretty average, no real stand out features. IMO, the first track on an album should be one of the strongest and grab your attention from the off, unfortunately this one failed with me.
  7. One minute twenty seven seconds into the first track, I bailed out. Not for me.
  8. Are you on any medication for the ET, I was prescribed 2 x 40mg Propranolol tablets per day by the Neurologist, it definitely helps.
  9. I was also diagnosed with ET a few years back, paid privately to see a neurologist as I thought it may have been the start of Parkinson’s, my mother was also diagnosed with ET and then Parkinson’s in her later life, it’s definitely a genetic condition. The ET started in my left (fretting) hand, which is getting progressively worse, but it’s now also started in my right hand, my playing ability has been slightly affected and I definitely cannot play some stuff I played years ago.
  10. Have you heard Lionel Ritchie recently, that dispels the genre theory.
  11. One other option is to see a top rated tribute band, the musicianship is spot on and the vocalists are of a younger age and can emulate the vocals in the original keys with ease.
  12. I’m definitely not as competent as I was, say twenty years ago. I listen back to some of the bands I have recorded with and think I just cannot play to that level anymore. I think a lot of it is due to old age and the dexterity is not what it used to be.
  13. Unfortunately this is now happening to often to live music venues across the country, keeping a live gigging band active becomes more difficult as each year goes by. Nice picture of Wayne of Limehouse Lizzy on the main website page.
  14. Not for me, distorted bass and that style of playing does nothing for me, it’s obviously a bass specifically made for specific genres of music. I’ll stick with my tight/punchy 1990 MM Stingray.
  15. Just found this amazing female vocalist on YouTube, her name is Morgan James, incredible soulful voice.
  16. The gigging scene was very buoyant around our way, then came Covid, the live music venues have now halved. ☹️
  17. An electronic kit will never sound as good as a quality acoustic kit, every drummer I ever played with have owned high end kits, DW, Ludwig, Slingerland etc.
  18. The clue is on the gig list board above the bass players head. 👍
  19. Phil Collins lad has taken over drumming duties with the band, what a cracking drummer he is.
