  1. Pick any 5 Rush tunes.
  2. I don’t. My volume pot on my bass is always set full on whether I play with my fingers or a pick.
  3. I have Live Catfish in my vinyl collection, great bluesy album from 1971. To my recollection the family members in the band were the brothers Bob and Dallas Hodge.
  4. We have just kicked it out of our set, hoorah, two minutes of boring playing for me and didn’t really fit in with the rest of our set. Replacing it with Turn the Page by Metallica. Our band age ranges from 51 to 62.
  5. Another one of the all time greats have left us.
  6. Sums up every experience I have ever had with JMB, 99% of them are flakes and dreamers.
  7. They both have the same name and who is Tom 😀😀
  8. My one and only bass, always wanted one and have zero interest in any other. Teal green and does everything I want for the bands I have played in, never fiddle with the EQ, everything just set flat out, may just knock the tone pot back a bit on some numbers.
  9. Snap Blue, I just found this on YouTube today, Lzzy has a stunning powerful voice.
  10. Oliver’s Army springs to mind.
  11. I like Paul Young but that vocal performance is hideous, I would not be impressed by that if I had seen it in a pub for free, let alone pay for tickets to see it. Some of these older vocal performers do not know when to give up when the voice is no longer what it used to be, it’s a real shame as it becomes slightly embarrassing watching them. This is why the really good tribute bands do so well, because a lot of them are now better than the original acts in terms of performance.
  12. Went to the Derngate gig, I’m pretty sure the support act was called Strawberry Switchblade.
  13. Two dollars to the pound was way back in 2007, been nowhere near that since then. I regret not buying a brand new MM Stingray when I was in Florida at that time, Sam Ash in Sarasota were doing them for $1200, £600 an absolute bargain.
  14. I used to sit in a bath of cold oxtail soup to shrink my new Levi’s to fit back in the 70’s 🤪
  15. Richard Clayderment is a well known exponent of the Blues, several of his earlier works are fine examples of the genre 😀
  16. Come on Lefty, read the thread. Kenny Wayne mentioned early on by me and agreed by Blue.
  17. Check out Paul Rodgers album Muddy Water Blues. The late Jeff Healey.
  18. Forgot to mention the master - Stevie Ray Vaughan.
  19. Let’s not forget Beth Hart.
  20. Joe Bonamassa is probably the top blues guy at the moment. Kenny Wayne Shepherd. Government Mule. Walter Trout.
  21. Not hearing Mark Almond, is surely a positive 😄
