  1. A lot of web-sites (particularly if you are using pre-built stuff like word-press), actually require cookies to function. So if you refuse cookies the site wont be able to function for you. Nowt comes for free these days, you need to pay one way (cash to build your site properly) or the other (take the no cost upfront, but pay with data/ads)!
  2. Wireless does make a difference, makes the mids more scooped (fine if you like that sort of thing). Personally I'd buy a WIRED one, but not pay more than £92.00
  3. I don't really rate YouTube videos for getting to know the AkaiMPC. 99.9% of them are all about teaching non-musicians how to make the next trap/rap/drill 'beat' by some 16yo kid who wears his trousers round his knees!!!! The videos from AkaiPro are probably the best on you tube if you want a more 'vanilla' intro. This 'MPC Bible' used to be quite highly rated https://www.mpc-samples.com/product.php/268/mpc-bible/ and comes with sounds & plenty of tutorials.
  4. If it were me, I'd keep it. They are both very different machines, different workflow and different vibes
  5. Welcome to the MPC club! Hope you'll stay around a bit longer than the previous owner!
  6. I'm sure there is a correlation between the number of basses sought and lusted after & and contentment levels, with the more content amongst us hovering around owning one or two instruments.
  7. £1000 item sent with a £2.99 courier - was that so wise ?
  8. Bought a Rumble 15 combo from Chris. Very smooth transaction, good comms, excellent packaging, and generally super service all round. Don't know how he managed to get the combo to me so fast I wouldn't hesitate to buy again from Chris, deal with confidence. Thanks!

  10. The last DG windows I had installed, I got them supplied and fitted by a local firm - was a no brainer, they fit windows all day long and didn't charge very much for the labour. Really interested to hear (as I'm sure others are) the final budget figures for the project. This build would make a cracking series of videos for youTube
  11. Looks much bigger in your photos I will be watching your progress with anticipation as I'd really like to do this too - albeit with one wall of glass so I can have a bit of a view when I work. Are you doing the actual building work yourself?
  12. Did you need/get planning for this? Looks like it will be awesome when finished
  13. I did a trade in with Classic And Cool a few years ago. It was a very smooth transaction and Mark gave me a very fair price based on photos of my bass (Marcus Miller Jazz) against a very reasonably priced US '75 Jazz RI . I'm not the kind of person who would normally do a trade in - but Mark made the process trouble free
  14. Not if you use the £1 final value fee offer, which come up every fortnight on average.
  15. It's 2021.. Everyone has a smart phone or is connected to the internet at the hip. Ebay sends notifications to pay instantly, and with paypal - transactions are completed in seconds. If it's been a day or two and the seller hasn't paid, he's probably got 'buyers remorse' a tad early and has no intention of making good on his bid. Count your blessings, you dodged a bullet!
  16. Apple making LogicPro so cheap and music software companies generally have to bear a lot of the responsibility for the drivel that passes as 'music' these days!
  17. I used to get really hung up on this stretching thing, then I thought, 'F*** it' I'm just going to play the way that feels comfortable and efficient for the way my body and hands are built, with small movements. We don't all have fingers like ET
  18. The KR Mini is very simple, no programming involved. But then you might as well play along to a CD of pre-recorded drums or youTube videos of drummers. Anything programmable is going to involve the use of grey matter (to varying degrees depending on which machine you choose). What kind of drums to you want to play along to (that might influence your purchase)? The SR16 is a safe MOR type machine thats been around for about 30 years. You can pick them up 2nd hand for peanuts these days, see if it works for you and if it doesn't you'll be able to sell it on for what you paid for it
  19. Well played, clear delivery & presentation. Thanks for sharing & good work!
  20. I'm big into my disco, boogie & NY House/Garage - and my 'best' dance track changes every week it seems. This track from Leroy Burgess is tickling my pickle at the moment. Fantastic with 2 bass players, one slap and one fingerstyle grooving together. Songs like this are the real spirit of 'dance music'
