And you can pick up sample CD's with 10,000+ samples of drum hits for a fiver on eBay. It's not about the number of sounds, it's about the few that it does do, authentically - which samples, and any Roland gear post 1985 fail to do.

Behringer RD-6 Drum machine, in all original packaging etc. Used a handful of times. I used to own an original TR-606 a few years back and bought this on a nostalgic whim. It is a very, very accurate recreation with the added bonus of Midi and USB. It is very intuitive and easy to use with the x0x style programming. I have an Akai MPC and that takes care of most of my drums these days. Happy to post.

I'll just leave this here... the bravest amongst you will click on 'Gym', those with a more sensitive disposition might be better off listening to his rendition of 'Billie Jean'... if you survive either of those two 'Wifey Ting' will finish you off -
Absolutely this. One thing with these new M1 chips, is that they can get away with much less RAM (compared to Intel Based Macs).... you'll be fine with 8gb You wont regret stepping up to Logic. There's good reason why its the #1 selling app on the AppStore

And it is still on regular rotation 40 years later on my decks! As is most of the SOLAR back catalog
-
Love this bassline from Leon on this Shalamar hit from 1980 almost as much as I love the dance moves!
-
Leon Sylvers played a Rickenbacker most of the time if the internet is to be believed. Beast of a producer/bass player.

Can you not book direct with DPD? Isn't that cheaper, the intermediary (P2G) needs to make their £ someway (ripping you off with insurance!). Have you looked at UPS? They are normally my go to when shipping music gear. Whatever you do, pack it well so you don't need to rely on insurance
-
What are you sending, and who are you sending it with? If it's not a prohibited item or excluded from the carriers insurance - probably cheaper to go with the courier.

He is a beast!

I was thinking the same thing. Would now be the time to install air-con? I can imagine that being a sauna in the summer
-
I've bought something similar in the past. Works fine with my mac and Triton/MPC combo, I'd imagine it's a similar if not the same chipset in it.
-
Definitely not! You wouldn't buy one of the Behringer RD6/8/9 series unless you are making 'dance music'. They are very exciting though (the RD-9) as they are 99.9% clones of the original TR909 for £270, as opposed to the £4000+ that the original units sell for today. Very eagerly anticipated by those in the know!

How about a Fender Rumble v3? I picked one up here, mint for £65. Sounds great and looks the part. They are plenty loud enough for the bedroom.
-
I'd be feeling frustrated for about 10 mins, then go and look for the receipt so I can do a chargeback via my credit card (Credit card section 75 protection I think its called. But there might be a time limit on the claim).

You will incur/accrue debts (if you are listing/selling/buying), which will be pursued like any other debt... google 'debt collection in the uk' for a flavour of what you might experience!

One thing to bear in mind if you don't use eBay's managed payments, and chose to continue to use PayPal as a buyer - you will lose eBay's buyer protection. PayPal still has a form of buyer protection, but it is far inferior to eBay's. We are getting payments through now via eBay's managed payments and they are coming through a day or two after the sale (certainly not 2 weeks later like some have described). Prefer the older system but life moves on

Songs that are bangers... that aren't sung in English

Generally they don't support their stuff for long. If you like to keep up to date with OS updates etc, then you'll probably find what ever you buy from M-Audio becomes a brick after a couple of years
-
I'd give anything with M-Audio on it a wide berth!

The last keyboard controller I had was a Novation Launchkey Mk2 - 61 full size keys. They are well regarded, full size keys, light up touch sensitive pads, faders etc..., quite solid & just the ticket for controlling Logic, nice synth type action from the keys. I sold mine for about £100 so it would fit your budget nicely.

Just pulled the trigger on the Behringer RD-9, which will make the holy trinity of drum machines in my arsenal complete! Just got to sit tight till it arrives (end of August hopefully)

Of course there is no 'gun to a buyers head' just like there is no 'gun to a sellers head', I can decline your offer to purchase, just like you can skip onto the next ad. But, if you want one of my items (you don't sound like one of my target buyers btw ), you will have to pay the price we ask (we never discount however politely a buyer might ask, or however many they want to purchase. We do however raise prices, as other sellers sell off their stock until we are the only ones selling a particular item). Selling on eBay, isn't just selling to an audience of 1. I might get 5000 views on a listing, but it only takes one of those buyers to click the button, and the other 4999 viewers to scroll on by... then the money's in my account, deal done. And I'm patient, with a lot of listings Actually the new payment arrangements aren't that terrible (but our customers will still pay more for the privilege). Not sure that I like paying fees at the point of transaction.. makes accounting a bit easier to pay one invoice at the end of the month, but we'll live & continue to thrive! As will most successful sellers.. and if the Basschat collective decides to boycott eBay, I'm pretty sure that that eBay and Basschat will survive too
