To answer a question... The pickups are custom wound by Armstrong for me as there has never been a string P bass made before.
  4. Thanks, I'm sure he will be ok, he's in the right place. Good luck selling the shuker, Jon really does make fantastic basses. Love the finish on yours, great workmanship.

    Bump for an edit.
  7. Little Bastard is a great amp but I went for 65amps Apollo as its 50watts are enough for both home rehearsal , studio recordings and the occasional small gig.
  8.
Another vote for Chromes here.
And me....
That looks amazing! If it had two less strings and some frets I'd be on it like a rash
Can't do anything about the strings but you could get Jon or any other luthier to put frets on the neck. If it does not sell this is what I will do, put frets on it and turn it into a six string P Bass monster. The neck is very slim and easy to play. If you can handle a five string this bass would be a very easy transition to six strings.
  11. I love these threads... I change mine every 4 months to keep that fresh zingy sound. If I have flats I change them every 2 years.
  12. I had a bad feeling about this sale as I asked for pictures and nothing turned up. I really hope this works out right for you.
  13.
+1. In addition, the usual reason given for adding a fifteen is to get lower extension. The fact of the matter is that the average fifteen loaded cab goes no lower than the average ten loaded cab. As for output capability, the average 1x15 has less output capacity than the average 4x10. Advertisements mixing 1x15 and 4x10 are ubiquitous, as is the use of that by many endorsers. Why? Ads are intended to sell product, as is supplying endorsers with what the company wants to sell. As to what companies want to sell, that's highly driven by what you want to buy. If you think that 1x15/4x10 is a good combination no company is going to try to talk you out of it. They'll give you what you want and take your money, thank you. The more you know about how speakers work, the less likely you'll want to mix cabs. As for what endorsers use, don't assume that just because they're great players that they know any more about speakers than you do. Bottom line, they use what they're paid to use.
+1 I could not say it better myself.

  19.
How can it be when I own the finest Shuker ever?
No, you are mistaken sir. I have the best Shukers. I love the fat body and thin horns... If only I had some cash.
