Yeah my confirmation email says S212 - I would prefer the M, but either way, a lightweight 2x12 that handles up to 600w is exactly what I need!
Have to ask, anyone tempted by the Bad Bull and a pair of 8x10s?
That would be amazing! £2700 off RRP for an all-valve amp, they won't last long!

Bought myself an M212 too! Was tempted by the Puma to go with it, but I really can't afford it. Even at that price! Looking forward to this weekend's gig now!!
3. Looks so much better without the yellow!
4.
£450 is alot for 1x15 bass cab.
Not really, just depends what you're comparing them to, of course a Peavey or Ashdown MAG are going to be much cheaper, but just a quick search online and I can see EBS is £649, Mark Bass is £695, Aguilar is £599, etc.
5. This thread makes me want one... DIMENSIONS 25.5" high x 19.5" wide x 13.5" deep WEIGHT 32 lbs SENSITIVITY Similar to many 2x12" cabs FREQUENCY RESPONSE Similar to the classic sealed 8x10" fridge RECOMMENDED AMP POWER 100 - 500W RMS MAXIMUM OUTPUT Similar to a quality 2x12" or 3x10" cabinet NOMINAL IMPEDANCE 8 ohms PRICE £450
6. Edit due to sale of amp: SWR Triad - £300 It's a slightly older model (possibly mark 2?), without the speak-ons that the current model has, but otherwise looks the same (ie it has a silver grill, not the old black one) and has an SWR cover. SWR say... A two-chamber, true three-way cabinet that provides full range, uncolored, exacting, highly accurate tone. Offering the best of all worlds, this cab is loaded with a custom SWR 15-inch driver, 10-inch driver, and high-frequency tweeter, and each is crossed over at the optimum point, making it extra sweet across the full-frequency spectrum. Simply put, the Triad does the hard work of properly separating frequencies into specific drivers for you. Best used either by itself, or in combination with another Triad. Features: Three-way full-range enclosure (1x15 + 1x10 + tweeter), 400 watts handling, custom SWR speakers, horn tweeter with attenuator, dual [s]Speakon and[/s] 1/4” speaker jacks, side spring-loaded handles, vibration-free shock-mounted chrome grill, front slot port. Impedance: 4 ohms. 23”W x 27”H x 18.5”D, 80 lbs. Korg DT-1 Pro - £50 Stagg 3U rack bag - £20 All items to be collected, or courier at buyer's expense. Will to meet halfway with the cab within reason.
7. It's not GSR - G is Gio, the budget Ibanez range. It's a SoundGear (hence the SDGR on the headstock), but from the front, there's not much else to determine model number - it should be on the back of the headstock though, at the top? I used to have an SDGR 300FL, and that's where it was on that.
8. and If I had those, I'd be pretty much GAS free. Or as GAS free as you can be around here!
9. I've got a Brunswick electro-acoustic guitar, picked it up new for £150 about four years ago, does the job! Decent quality, Shadow pre, sounds nice acoustic and plugged in, definitely wouldn't have an reservations about buying a bass version. I'm sure as with all Chinese made guitars there can be good and bad ones, but for the money I have no problems with them.
10. My SWR Triad does everything I need it to and I can carry it by myself no problems. But, my dream rig would be a GK Neo 412 with a 1001RB-II sat on top of it.
11. Here's me last month playing at The Rainbow in Birmingham. Quality isn't great unfortunately!
12. I'll take the tuner please! PM'd
13. I don't know if it's better, it's a very similar spec to the Legend Custom, but just a different shape I think. As far as I know the NS2000 (or Q4/Q5/Q6 for the bolt-on version) was the predecessor to the Legend. Definitely a great bass!!
14. Are you sure that's a Legend? Looks more like an NS2000/5?
15. Definitely a few nice models, if a bit pricey Not sure on their Jag though, just doesn't look right!
16.
I have no idea who this band are ...
Really? Biggest Scottish rock band in years, all over the radio for the last couple of albums!
17.
excuse me for being ignorant but what are the advantages of active over passive?
http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=56141
18. Yeah you always do - great bass though
19. Finally finished the book after a nice relaxing weekend in Gran Canaria, sorry for the delay, it's a much longer book than My Bass And Other Animals! Great read though! PM'd Golchen for his address
20. Isn't the NS2000 Korean? I thought it was the thru-neck version of the Q4? Not that there's anything wrong with them of course, great basses, just not what you're looking for to compare?
21. And SOLD!!
22. Sorry, didn't check this yesterday, sold pending payment!
23. A few years ago I played in a original punk(ok pop-punk) band, played a few hundred gigs a year, supported some bands I look up to, and had a great time. Unfortunately, that came to an end, as did the band formed by myself and the old singer (even though we wrote an awesome album - http://www.punktastic.com/reviews/2961), so now, I play in a local 'Country, Blues and Rock n Roll' originals band, which is good fun even though it's not my usual kind of music, and am forming a punk covers band just for fun with my mates from the old band. Good times!
24. Bump! Bargain Spector!
25. Some photos - not the best lighting so I'll get more if people need them in better light.
