1. Sh*t! Sorry people, this is still sat at home, completely forgot about it after a few weeks working away - will be posted this week!!!
2. Out of those two, the Hartke. That GK head is from their budget range, you'd be much better off with one of the RB heads if you were going for GK (which I'd highly recommend!). The LH500 gets good reviews around here, and I've been happy with the 3500 when I've used that in the past.

Used my Puma 250 and S212 at a gig for the first time last weekend, no volume problems, only turned up slightly more than I do at practice, wasn't getting anything back from the monitors and I could hear myself better than I have in a long time!! Very happy with it!!
4. I've used Clayton before, got the yellow Dunlop's I usually use, with my band logo on, will be getting more soon.
5.
If you were nearer I'd have it. Sure you can't pack it? I'll organise the courier.
ahh go on then! I haven't got anything to pack it in, but I'm sure I can visit a music shop at the weekend and get a bass box. I've got a whole roll of bubble wrap I can use.
6. Going on ebay tonight, any last minute takers?
7.
Jason Black is amazing. However HWM went right down the toilet after 'A flight and A crash' (the basement at Leeds for that tour was one of my favourite gigs ever). And i've not listened to the Draft, so don't know if he's pulling the same tricks? side note HWM don't fit on this thread at all IMHO. much more than 'punk revival' trash.
Really? Caution is my favourite album, and The New What Next has got some great tracks on. The Draft do just sound like HWM without Chuck Ragan, and maybe with less of an edge. Not too much difference between The New What Next and A Million Pieces anyway. But no, they don't fit into that catagory, but Black was an influence on me when I was playing that kind of punk.
8. Loved playing in my two old punk bands (I say old, we're talking 2001-2007), but don't get to play any anymore Dan Andriano and Jason Black were big influences on me, and more recently Joe Principe from Rise Against.
9. It does the job... but I wouldn't use it as a backup for anything, I'd want something reliable for that job!
10. Placebo supported by dEUS, 1997, Wolverhampton Wulfrun Hall. Soon followed by Green Day and The Offspring, in venues that aren't big enough for their backstage area these days.
11. Anyone heard of Brubaker? Just seen these two on ebay, edging into US Fender pricing. 12. Amp sold, SWR Triad, 3U rack and tuner still available. Working away this week and half of next week, after that I'll put them on ebay if there's no interest.
13. I haven't really listened to them since Yield, but The Fixer is a great tune, and their new one is growing on me. Definitely a decent player, but I always listened to Stone more on the early stuff, but I was a teen when I first got into them.
14. Looks like an SX neck?
15. HD500 sold pending the usual Cab, rack and tuner still available!
16. How about this electri base guiter? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/electri-base-guiter_...=item3a54c7f30c
17. Got to suggest the TecAmp Puma after my recent purchase, weighs less than my laptop, is smaller than my Xbox, and produces better tone than almost anything I've had (GK 1001-RB excluded).
18. Going on ebay next week!
19. [SOLD]
20. I'm selling my Musicman HD500 if you're interested, made by MarkBass in Italy and is essentially a TA503 without the yellow. 500w solid state with tube preamp.
21. I think 4ft Fingers worked in Pizza Hut while they weren't touring, but yeah, part time jobs I'm afraid!
22. Jazz, Ibanez Soundgear, all good. I find the Spector Legend the most comfortable neck for me, about as narrow as the Jazz, but doesn't taper up the neck, and a little bit deeper. Seem to remember playing a cheaper Warwick that was similar but can't remember what it was.

Finally got to take my Puma 350 and S212 to band practice last night - I had to turn it down! So much louder than my other rig. No hiss, although the fan does have a high-pitch whirring when it kicks in, not really a problem though. Very happy with it!
Does it matter which you plug into?!
Don't know, only tried the left one, but the pic a few posts ago shows it plugged into the right, so I guess not?
I think that's just a way of pointing out that 1- means negative and 1+ means positive. BTW be careful with your GK amp as they can require different connections inside the Speakon connector to work. I would suggest you PM OBBM to find out what's what on that subject as I'm not 100% on that.
Not got the GK anymore unfortunately, but that was a 2-/2+ if I remember rightly. Thanks!
Inside the Speakon connectors there are terminals for the wire to be clamped into. They are labelled 1+ and 1- in the 2 pole version and 1+, 1-, 2+ and 2- in the 4 pole version. For the setup pictured above it's saying that 1+ and 1- need to be the same core of cable at each end, i.e. the red wire will be clamped into the 1+ socket in each connector end and the black wire will be the 1- at each connector end. Hope that makes sense?
Ok, that makes sense, thanks. So what's with the "1- = -" and "1+ = +" on the cab?
