Hello

Greetings Gray, Fear not, after a few weeks here you'll swap your 'nerd on' for 'groove on'! Enjoy the forum and the banter. Cheers Leen.
4. Welcome Rob, Like everyone is saying go for it. This place is a mine of information and there are always folk ready to give advise. Cheers Leen.
5. Greeting Raphael, Wow! That's some nice gear you have there. So you say you play everything from pop to death metal....really? You don't mention how much you 'like' playing everything. I can handle the French accent as we have a guy from Carcassonne in our band. Cheers Leen.
6. Welcome Marc, It's great you are so happy with your gear. I play an Ibanez SR and also agree that the necks are great. Just beware of the marketplace, coz after a look around there than suddenly you'll find things you didnt realise you couldnt live without! Cheers Leen.
7. So does that make One erection a metal band??
8. Welcome MFD I too like the fretless bass, but after listening to Mick Karn from Japan I decided it made better firewood! There is some nice bass in the talk talk stuff too, more manageable though.......go for it! Cheers Leen.

Hi

Greetings Tamaru
10. I Heard the sad news that founder member Allen Lanier of Blue Oyster Cult passed away. I absolutely love them and was lucky enough to catch them on the last 3 tours. Allen played some sublime piano at times and was pretty much under-rated by most. The bass on this track is cool... unlike the video! RIP Allen. 11. If your going to be playing classic rock then go with the pick......don't listen to those finger snobs
12. Welcome Kev, My advise is to go for a good second hand bass, you generally get 'more' for your cash. The Ibaneze SR series are great for Metal and a lot of the cheaper basses are good quality for the money. There are loads of basses for sale in the marketplace. It's a safe place but remember to ask lots of questions. Cheers Leen (fae Fife)
13. Well done you! Mind you in modern tech metal there are a fair few bassists 'widdling' so watch out with that Arthritis. Just for the fun of it, well thats what this place is all about - just don't mention the Beatles Cheers Leen.
14.
Good for you.
I normally say things like 'welcome' here but you took the words right out of my mouth steve +1
15. Hello Shane, It's not really a welcome is it. But Thanks for standing up and anouncing yourself. I myself still have'nt been introduced here, I might wait a few more years though. I'll look out for your posts in the 'how was your gig last night' thread. Cheers Leen.
16.
or even that you originally are from Fife!!!
Carefull now! Welcome Duncan, from a Fifer.
17. Hey! And welcome Alex. You havent had the time!!!! You must make time for basschat or else you could be attracting the wrath of the welcoming commitee (bass tractor etc) Metal's where it's at my friend, although not sure what 'it' is. Good luck with the remaining 30% Cheers Leen.
18.
See you back here in 30 seconds.
BOOM! Good one
19.
I've asked for my daft threads to be deleted as they don't work. Sorry!
Eh? the link works, i had to copy and paste but it works....subdivisions as I speak! Cheers
20. Well just now I just heard Elton's Nikita on the radio and was thinking to myself why I had never noticed the bass in it before - It's great! Then I remembered, I hate Elton!
21. Well there's something about no frills rock isnt there. I saw them yonks ago and I've always been a prog fan and I totally loved it. I can't remember ever playing one of their records at home but I knew most of the tracks played that night. It's good to see them still going for it and as much as i won't be going to see it, they have a film out soon too!
22. Greetings Tony. Post your questions in the builds section and no doubt someone more qualified will be along to help you. Enjoy basschat while you wait. Cheers Leen.
23. Welcome B, Bring the Metal \m/(O_o)\m/ Cheers Leen.
24. Greetings Elliot, From a Fifer Cheers Leen.
