9. So unfortunately, Al Douglas has decided to leave the band to concentrate on his own project, Storm of Embers (Official). We'll be gigging with them in the not-so-distant future so be sure to check them out! In the meantime we'll be searching for a replacement bass player. Usual rules apply. We need cover for 2 upcoming shows: 13/04/13 Glasgow QMU ... 25/05/13 Dundee Non-Zero's (The Hollow Earth show) If you can manage it, or know someone who might be interested, don't hesitate to contact us: "][email protected] http://maelstromofficial.bandcamp.com/ www.facebook.com/maelstromscotland Cheers

 22. Ok so I'm old....I grew up in the 70's 80's. At the time I hated all 'pop' music and just listened to Rock. Now I listen to Radio 2 at work (planetrock when no one else is in!) and all the old stuff comes on and I often think hey this isn’t so bad. Today I heard Bow wow wow - wild in the country and I was totally struck by how good the bass is. I had to Google him - Leigh Gorman...... I had no idea. I know of other 80's bass players but this guy just seems to be very underrated. Shame I couldnt find any other stuff with him apart from the Ants.
