3. Hello and welcome flea, The time for snooping is indeed over. I've seen a few youtube folks doing the high C, Thats great I know but you really can't beat those fat notes! Why not post pics of your lovely basses? I'd like to get excited over them Cheers Leen.
4. Welcome Brutalbass, I too am a fan of Barcelona after visiting there, If Gaudi had designed Bass guitars I can only imagine what they would be like....freakin awesome I expect! Your English Is fine, Me? I can hardly string two words together! Cheers Leen.
5. Welcome Jal Don't worry about the lack of bass gear, hang around here for a while and an acute strain of GAS will no doubt take over. Cheers Leen.

8. True, I always wondered why some folk at our gigs started laughing when I go into a solo.
9.
Can't get used to such a wide neck though, hence my 5 sting search, cos I just love the low B
I know what you mean, took me a while to get used to it. My Ibanez 5 string feels amazing, very comfortable and fast neck, best I've tried.
10. Hello and welcome equalsql, You've done the right thing by coming out of the shadows. How is your Peavey grind? I looked at those for a while before settling on my Hohner B bass 6. There is so much choice out there, beware of the GAS! It'll cost you more than the kids did! Cheers Leen.
11. Welcome Jazzydude, You can't beat a bit of Caravan, gong gentle giant, Tull etc ...or can you? Welcome all the same cheers Leen.

14. Rock of ages was a total load of bollox......guff of the highest order, My missus loved it though but then again she loved mama mia. My biggest gripe was they made the songs into a glee fest, there was no Rock of ages! Effin painfull it was!
15. Nice to have you back Alex, stick around this time eh. Stay away from the for sale bit.......I stumbled across it and almost died before I found my way out again! Cheers Leen.

19. Hello and welcome Dr 30 year old strings?? Really? Space rock eh, are we talking Hawkwind here? Cheers Leen
20. Don't diss the roto's........I like them SM665's. However, My Ibanez came with Elixir strings, and after I got used to the coating (smooth feel) I liked them too, and It's true, they do sound brighter longer, although you do pay over the odds for them. Stringbusters all the way, great next day service!
21. Welcome suneye, 80's metal eh?....you have my attention. Start a thread about how great a bass player Nikki Sixx is and It'll be the most popular thread on Basschat Cheers Leen.
22. Our drummer used to hold me down by sitting on my chest and hold my arms so I couldnt move then pretend to gob into my face.................bah!
23. I always had a decent Hi-fi and loved my vinyl. But now It's gone and all my music is stored on my pc which is networked to my TV (DLNA) I have an old sony amp which powers 2 decent speakers and not the utter crap tiny 5.1 speakers you get. When I get the chance I pump out some loud rock stuff and couldnt tell If It was MP3 or records except It won't jump if I fall into it after a few!
24. Hey Damon, Welcome along. First off, you are certainly not alone, there are more and more 'older' gents picking up music again so I'm sure you will find like minded ex punk folkers around for gigs. Ok so I can't say anything about the basses you mentioned but If It feels and sounds good to you and you can afford it then Its a good deal. The laney will be fine for practise, but I doubt it would do for gigs or even louder band practises. HP I only know about sauce! Cheers Leen.
