  1. hi Folks, this is my home brew bass that I've had and been playing for a few years now but due to a GAS attack its going up for sale. The headline news here is that its a Jazz body and Precision neck. Full details are: Off white (a.k.a vintage white, olympic white) contoured solid alder Jazz shaped body Wizard '84 Jazz pickups Gotoh hi-mass bridge Fender licensed one piece solid maple Precision neck with Truss rod. No logo. Fender pickups from a MIM precision Insulated control cavity Its got very good intonation (according to my Korg pitch black tuner) and no buzzes. If you try to make it buzz, then like every bass I've played you can succeed, but in normal playing its doesn't buzz. Action is average I'd say, maybe a tad higher than average but that suits me - easy to lower if you want to. Great bass to play and neck feels really good in the hand. The bad news: I realised while making this that woodwork is not my thing The neck - body join is not perfect. The screw holes fit very well and there is a nice tight join between the back of the neck and the 'plate' of the body where the screws press them together but there is a bit of a messy and imperfect join between the heel of the neck and the 'collar' of the body. I looked this up and most people think that this is not a problem and I certainly haven't had any problems with it. Plays great and sounds very good thanks to the great Wizard Pups. Don't really want to split it up into parts. cheers, Doug.

  17. hi - could I interest you in my tasty Candy apple red aerodyne for sale in this forum?
  18. I'm selling a gorgeous looking Aerodyne like this one (pics aren't of mine). It is Crafted in Japan and not intended for export but I picked it up new from a local importer. It is immaculately finished, very well set up, naturally very resonant and has a P+J configuration. Mine is in 100% perfect condition and unmarked. In terms of its value I see that the regular aerodynes with no pickguard and only available in black are going for £600 new. Like I say, this is 100% as new and is a bit of a looker ... and it's your's for £450. If you want me to post it you'll have to pay for a courier but I'll throw in my flight case (old, battered, ugly but indesrictible!) I'd also be interested in trades for a fender type bass with a maple fingerboard. Not interested in trading up though, if anything I'd want to get a bass and some cash for it. Doesn't have to be fender, but you know, fenderish: here are some pics of a similar one to give you an idea. Actual pics of the bass for sale will be coming soon but it is exactly the same as the one in these pics.
