1. A big shame I love Tecamp gear. Looks like there has been a fallout at the top
2. I think with the right amp and eq most cabs can sound close to what you want. All cabs have their own voice as do amps and guitars, and the CN212... has a great voice especially after a few hours of break in. The trick is pairing gear to optimise the rig to your tastes. I only sold my CN212 because I wanted to go modular, I found even at 20 kg lifting and twisting a tall cab into my car was just a little too much for my 5"6 ageing frame!
3. Having used a CN212 live on many occasions indoor and outdoor both with and without p/a I never felt the need to use a stand, a gramma pad maybe on Hollow floors but never a stand. Paired with a puma 900 it just kills!
4. CN212 is absolutely stunning and such an easy lift, if I were still after a single cab solution then it would be without question my first choice.
5. Puma 900 through those Bergs will sound absolutely stunning
6. Have just completed an amp trade with Karl, what can I say that others haven't? Really nice guy, item as described, we met up and had a great chat(in the freezing cold) hope to deal again. Thanks Karl
7. Couldn't agree more... Having owned way too many boutique basses I am currently gigging a 2001 mim Precision with a Nordstrand NP4v pickup and it just rocks! If it gets bashed or nicked then hey so what I can go and grab another real cheap👍
8. Could you tell me the weight please?
9. If you are ok with the weight then keep it for sure, it will hammer out amazing tone at ridiculous volume all day long I think it is actually a nicer cab than the newer lighter CN212...
10. No the pf500 was unreliable the 800 is ok. There are some threads on tb about it if you get bored🤓 Glad you still have the Hd, still loving it?
11. There is some nice gear in the classifieds at the moment, mark bass sd1200, GK mb800, little mark 800, any of those would sound great with the HD212. You could also pick up a PF 800 if you like the Ampeg tone, they are relatively inexpensive and very reliable.
12. The Vanderkley sounds so balanced and 3 dimensional, I played through one at Bass Direct a few weeks ago. When I have saved up I am going to buy one!
13. Beautiful, that is my favourite Stingray colour 😎
14. Looks like Bassgear have them... Posted on Facebook earlier😃
15.
But no one else thinks so Toasted
No... I would have to agree as well😉
16. When I spoke to him he put me in touch with the Fender Uk service centre, give them a call they are really helpful guys! They had my amp back to me within the week.
17. I have not heard that particular cab but I did hear the Aurora through a pair of Vanderkley 210mnt's at Bass Direct and it sounded stunning, it was clear balanced and really organic... I think I might get one myself to go with my 112mnt's!
18. How would you compare them to a purple chilli? Lol
19. Cabs that smell like my favourite food, wow! I find it real easy to dhal in a great sound with Vanderkleys
20. Have responded to your pm.. they are quite similar in output but voiced very differently. Crank the gain for more volume on the th500, make sure that the -10 db isn't engaged if you are struggling for gain, add another cab if still not loud enough and run at 4 ohm. Great little amp, output is rarely a complaint.
21. I agree that really is very good customer service
22. I use xl 45-125, great tension, very punchy and lots of growl!
23. If only you had a 112mnt.... I would be all over it! Awesome quality cabs, cannot recommend highly enough.
