1. Price or trade value £120.00 posted to a UK address. Up for sale is a set of Shure SE425 in ear monitors in silver, they are virtually as new having only been used a few times for live work (non sweaty environment!) They come in the original box with the carry case and factory supplied tips (now used) and I will also include the original receipt from October 2014. I bought them new from The Headphone Company. Am only selling as I no longer play for a band that uses IEM's They are in full working order and sound amazing with a really pristine detailed sound, they reproduce what you put in really accurately and sound equally good with MP3 and as stage/studio monitors. Thanks for looking.
 2.
Well, of course, you could always have a 'flat' piece of kit, like a cab, in your chain for example, don't like the sound so you 'EQ' to sound 'better' Now you may EQ it 'flat' or you may be so far off 'flat' you're from another planet, so the concept of flat is a bit ridiclulous if you have a tone stack in your signal chain. I seriously doubt many here could play a bass with a really clean pure signal.. That, in itself would be an interesting experiment..
I am not sure there is a "flat" cab out there, a bit of personality goes a long way though😎
 3. I love my CN212 and yes it is voiced, so is the 212mnt and so will the barefaced be, that is why they all sound different to whatever extent given the same amp, bass and player. I don't buy into the whole flat response argument, everything has a voice from the guitar to the cable to the amp to the cab, the skill is in matching the gear to get a combination that works for you in your situation. Good luck with the Berg, it will serve you well👍
 4. I popped into Bass Direct this morning and I hate to do this to you but Mark has some really nice Lulls (and other makes) hanging on the wall😂
 5. I have owned a PJ5 and currently a PJ4, they are both insanely light and have beautiful neck profiles. You can spec the electronics to your taste and there are many different colours to choose from. Fit and finish is well above average and the necks can take a crazy low action due to the Plekking. I would definitely recommend them, it's just a case of finding the right one for you. Mike Lull and his guys are really quick to respond to emails and Mark Stickley is just amazing. It is hard to imagine someone being disappointed with a Lull they are great value at the price point.

 7. What a beauty, I bet that knocked a hole in your bank balance!
 8.
Yep, thumbs up all the way to Carey and his crew! I guess a V/P setup would be great on your VJ. I think the idea to keep it V/V on mine is to be able to completely isolate the P. You probably wouldn't want that on a J.
I have the same set up on my Lull PJ which I only play using the P pickup, I gues its just preference, not sure there is any tone degradation with a pan set up, certainly that I have noticed anyway.
 9.
I got this one recently: http://bass-pedals.com/fender-precision-bass/nordy-pj5-active.html I ordered it based on having tried Carey Nordstrand's personal 5-string P and I told him I wanted a bass just like that, but with a J at the bridge as well. When we discussed the preamp layout, he suggested V/V instead of V/B because that was the best possible way to isolate the P pickup entirely, which was the initial starting point for me. So we did that. Whether I'd be able to tell any real differnce had it been a V/B preamp, I don't know... I have another bass that is V/B and totally agree with you with regard to the pratical side of that layout. :-)
That is a beautiful bass I bet it sounds amazing, have spoken with Carey and Mo and Adrian on the phone a number of times, they are great guys. The build quality on their basses is second to none IMO. I have a Nordy VJ4 that I am thinking of changing to vol/pan.... I think that would make it just perfect!
 10. I love what I have.... Good job really because Wifey has banned me from buying any more basses!
 11. I really prefer vol pan, winding 2 volumes on at the same time is more awkward
 12.
You got the one from Bass Gear? That did look very lovely. If you an fancy a pair of Lull's it's still here for now
Sure did, it is a beauty now that I have given it some TLC, a set up and some new strings, light weight and sounds stunning! Would love to take the sunburst off of you but that would involve selling my Nordy... And that ain't happening!! GLWTS though😎
 13. They are gorgeous basses, I like the black pickguard best with the blue. I think I prefer the sunburst P4 over my oly white Lull PJ4, this could get expensive!
 14. The 2025 is even more amazing if you can stretch your budget😀
 15.
Got gas for a Sandberg. Anyone know about them? All I know is that they're German but has anyone played one?
Solid build quality, early ones can be quite heavy but they are starting to come with chambered bodies a little more now. They tend to be a slightly modern take on a classic vibe and all the ones I have played have sounded awesome! I had a California jj5 with Glock pre and Delano pickups...it was stunning but got sold due to being close to 5kg!
 16.
Oly white - looks great with maple/mint.
Oly White and tort is classic.....
 17.
It's all smiles and party here tonight... wow :/ The OP probably wishes they'd never asked now...
One big happy family😍 Keep the Berg!🙈
 18.
That's light! Mine is not quite so light, but the three Fender 75RI Jazz I have are all quite heavy, even for Jazz standards. So that's a bonus! I'm expecting a Maruszczyc PJ soon, which will be reasonably light too, and adds that bridge pickup that I sometimes miss... but I also like the simplicity of a one-pickup bass. The more controls and options I have, the more I feel tempted to tweak, and that distracts me
They look nice basses, Polish I believe? Would be interested to see one close up
 19. Picked this baby up a few weeks ago from the guys at Bass Gear, really chuffed so far!
 20.
I used to not seeing the point on a Precision, when I could just use the neck pickup on my Jazz and sound the same. It does not sound the same, at all... but it took me a while to "get it". I hated Precisions, then... I don't know what happened, but it's the #1 bass/sound for me these days.
+1 I used to detest them and now it is my go to bass! Mine weighs in at 3.5kgs so nice and light on the shoulder compared to my jazz.
 21.
f*** me this is dull now.
😴
 22.
Seeing as I've been posting on talkbass since 2001 and two weeks ago was banned for a month according to the CUP, what do you think? Well, let's do some basic maths: 14 years on talkbass is 728 weeks of reading/posting. I've been banned for 2 weeks. So the odds are approximately 350 to 1 that I read the relevant talkbass posts whilst not banned. The ban is one month long. I'd be interested to see a list of commercial users on talkbass who've been on there as long as me and have never been banned through falling foul of the CUP - it would be a VERY short list...
LOL that's some response! Thanks for the maths lesson😀
 23. Congrats, I have always wanted to try that head but could not get past the weight factor, I bet it sounds awesome!
