2. Eeh, they're all gannin' radge man!
 3.
The scoop is still inherent in the design. You end up using the mid knob to put it back in.. it sounded bad (IMO).
Ah.
I ... shelled out for the EBS.
Me too.
 4. Is that a 0.88 Tortex I see?
 5.
IMO the only wat to overcome the mid-scoop is to roll the blend right off... which defeats the purpose. Even rolling the bass and treble right off (an oft-suggested workaround) still introduces a sizeable scoop.
Indeed. How about the Para Driver with it's free semi-parametric mid control? Mine was great. If you're lucky with customs, you could pick one up from the US fleabay or online retailer for about the same money as the MXR 80 from Thomann. Or get an EBS for twice the money with free headphone amp.
 6.
I'll be there.
I'll be the pissed bloke in a Hansen Brothers t-shirt down the front during Saxon, crying to & singing all the old classics, ignoring anything after 1986 and alternately shouting 'Where's Dobby?' and 'Bass solo' repeatedly 'till it all comes on top. See you there EDIT: Fat, pissed bloke.
 7.
I have just sold Pablo my Fender P Bass and he was a great guy to deal with. Friendly and honest, and you can't ask for much more than that.
If that's the same one I've just just heard through his SVT, it sounds just like a P should through an SVT and even better through the SansAmp I've just sold him in a lovely hassle-free transaction. Nice bloke, nice flat and even nicer telly !
 8. 1. The Hanson Brothers, Weds 5th Nov, Brighton 2. Motorhead / Saxon / Danko Jones, Thurs 6th Nov, Brighton Both these dates coincide with the in-laws coming all the way from Alnwick for their grand-daughters 1st birthday, unfortunately. For them.
 9.
PM'd
One of the others need a polish?
 10. Pimp as f*** mate, top banana.
 11. I'd say it's more P than J in series [a la P] and the mids are more prominent, but it's never going to be in the right position on the body. I used mine in series all the time on me old GL Jazz, just using parallel [a la J] for the er, jazzy stuff.
 12. The ultimate is easy for me - I guess it's a lightweight 2-3u rackable affair which has 2 switchable channels - SVT dirt & EBS sparkle, a good 500 real world watts, a decent compressor, mute and blue lights on the front. And everything footswitchable. Except power!

 14.
Saturday?
I'm cyber-stalking Nik!
 15.
Have you got an updated list?
And indeed any news on Saturday...?
 16.
Draw to take place at the weekend...
:brow:

 18.
and a damn good choice. the ebs pisses on the the sansamp from a not inconsiderable height.
I've only got as far as checking the lights work, but hey - there's 3 of them, one's blue and they all come on together, lovely. I did like my Para Driver 'cos the mid issue wasn't an issue, but fancied all the extra toys on the EBS. Wasn't so keen on the programmable BDDI, even when all 3 of its lights flashed on together. Seemed to sound much better recorded than live. Fat money for the EBS vs SansAmp from the US though, glad I was BCing at work.
 19. EBS. But I would say that, I've just sold a SansAmp to buy one.
 20.
This could even be the last one in the world, you never know.
I think I do, son. Easy mistake lads, it's £6.25.
 21. 2 compressors mate - 1 for your everyday compression & 1 for uber slap compression. EDIT: But that's not simple is it? Sorry.
 22. This any good to you mate?
 23.
The development of 'popular' music stopped the day Frank Zappa died.
And Genesis let that f***ing drummer sing.
