1. I solve the volume spike by putting my Q-Tron in a loop with an MS60B set to tame the volume. I also use the Zoom to fine tune the EQ of the Q-Tron. A blending loop pedal could work well here too. Volume spikes & drops from pedals are no reason not to use them, there's always a solution to make them useable.
2. I'm being messed about by the main band I work with at the moment, so it's time for me to look at moving on. I'm looking to join a (hopefully busy) band doing functions and covers. I'm a full time bassist with good gear, transport and attitude. I've been doing this for a good while now so I have a wealth of experience, and I know a gazillion songs. I do BV's too. I'm based in North London and I'm used to travelling all over so motorway miles are no problem. I also have a small PA which I'm planning to majorly upgrade in a few months. If you fancy a chat about possible work, PM me for a 'phone number and we can have a talk about it. Thanks.
3. I would say get a guitarist. With just a keyboard as your main chordal instrument the sound is a bit one dimensional. Adding an electric guitar will really open things up. Best of luck.
4. The MXR rocks. And if you order one from Prymaxe you can get one delivered for well under £100.
5. I bought a pedal from Manfred. Great comms and no hassle at all. The parcel was really well packed, and arrived very quickly too. Deal with confidence. Thanks Manfred.
6. I sold Jokolono a pedal. Prompt payment, great comms, all in all a no-stress sale. Recommended. Thanks.
7. Nice one Gaz. I can tell you now you won't be complaining about loss of low end!!
8.
It looks like he is making the 66 a production pedal soon :-)
That's what I heard too
9. Email Tom for a quote, but something like £50 more than a standard Knightfall should be about right. And everything Bakerster said above is right. I love mine too.
10. I'd say go for the Knightfall 66. You'll get a lot more pedal for your money.
11. Wow, very funky.
12. I recently got a Blower Box, and I love it. I also have a TK-421-X (with added HPF mod) on order so I'll be able to a/b them. That'll be a few weeks away though but watch this space.
13. I've had a Streamliner 600 for a couple of years now, and I quickly paired it with a single HD112, it's a lovely combination. I tried an HD210 with the 12 but the adding the 10's in the rig made the overall sound way too punchy for my taste. This year I got a second HD112 and the two 12's together are stunning. Lots of tight & focused low end, a big sound. But not big in that it takes over the stage, yet it's all around you at the same time. Definitely worth trying out.
14. Ditto to lots of the above. Keep the bass you have, it'll do you just fine for a good while. For what it's worth, I have a Squire P that has earned me my living for years. All I changed from the original spec were the pick ups, wiring and scratchplate, and it plays really well and sounds awesome. Don't buy 'other rubbish' with your grand - get yourself a decent amp. And enjoy the journey ahead. Welcome to the club
15.
i'll take the odb-3 i have pm'd you thanks.
PM replied to. The pedal is sold pending payment.
16. I'd be happy to help somebody out if they had something fail on a gig, but if they turn up expecting to blag the use of my gear, forget it.
17. I have this issue when I run my Grand Tarkin into my MXR filter. I set up a graphic eq patch on my Zoom B3, and lowered the output level so it's now all nicely balanced. That meant I could also fine tune the eq which was a bonus.
18. I've dropped the price of the ODB3 to £30. That includes shipping. That's a bargain. This is one of those 'somebody buy it or I'll keep it' kind of bumps.
19. This looks like one heck of a pedal. It's more than I can justify spending at the mo, so I'll have to pass. But best of luck with the sale.
20. A wise u-turn. You'd only regret it
21. I'd keep the old pedals, for now. You may find you like the sound of some of them better than the digital models in th B3. Wait until you know the B3 better before you start selling old kit.
22. Only one left now.
23. Great idea dood! Immigrant Song & Pump It Up added
24. I just bought a pedal from Rik. Another easy BC transaction, thanks Rik!
25. Bump for two dirt pedals.
