1. So, er, what exactly do you have, that you're trying to get rid of? A jazz neck, or a precision neck? And what is the value of the neck you have? (Forum rules say you have to state what you think your kit's worth.)
2. An ice cube on vinyl used to smooth over scratches on a record. No good for the record player, I imagine, but we used to do it all the time in a bar I worked in back in the early 90s, and it certainly seemed to work.
3. EZ drummer was updated some time ago to Superior Drummer 2.0, which I understand to be miles better.
4. The Addictive Drums demo only gives you one kick, one snare, one hats and one cymbal, but when you then start sculpting those sounds while playing back the beats, you get an idea of how versatile it can be. I find the envelope and pitch section to be really useful and versatile. Find one you most like the feel of, and take it from there. 5. Do you have an electronic drum kit, or will you be programming your beats from a keyboard, or just using the beats and fills that come with these packages? They all have demo versions, so do try them out. I love Addictive Drums myself, as I find the interface the most user friendly for tweaking the sounds, but I use it with an electronic kit, so I'm playing live. The ones to look at: XLN Audio - Addictive Drums Toontrack - Superior Drummer FXpansion - BFD2 They all do the same thing, and they do it very well; but that's me thinking about them as a drummer and sound tweaker, not as a beat programmer.
6. Cassettes do sound ace. I went back to them a while ago and they sound massive, even though I know they're compressed and all that.
7.
I don't think I can put it another way than I did. I struggled enough already trying to express something, so I'm not willing to give it even one more go. Sorry.
Fair enough. Thanks for replying.
8.
I personally got offended when someone here recently tried to sell his desert gold Bongo way too cheaply, and still got offers clearly below that
Why did this offend you?

11.
mutually agreeable prices
These are the only prices at which things get sold.
12.
I bet everyone would prefer it to be free unfortunately that just isn't possible if you also expect BC to be fast, reliable and updated.
I would rather it be free than fast, reliable and updated.
13. Sterling Ball! What a name. (thanks for the info)
14. What is EBBM? And what are bindings?
15. Why is maple always lacquered? Or is the question why is rosewood not lacquered? Maple always seems to have a finish, and rosewood never does. Why is that?
16. This looks fun for 45 quid: http://www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_pbshorty_bk_junior_series.htm
17. I want to start a band called AUDIO UPSCALE.
18.
...if it were audio you could change the tempo of the track to 112 and it would be in time but as it's MIDI changing the tempo just speeds up or slows down the MIDI.
Isn't that precisely what you want to happen, though? Midi is much more tweakable than audio, so whatever it is you want to do (I'm still not quite clear what that is) can certainly be done. Can you describe what you have going on in more detail? Did you record the loop in Reaper? Would quantising be the way to do it, I wonder. ---- (Greetings from neighbouring Penge, by the way)
