Well i have managed to finally get back in a band. I have jammed with several people over the last few years and nothing had ever come of it, but i am going to be the bass player in a melodic death metal bad threnody. The singer was playing bass and singing but has decided he just wants to sing so thats where i come in. I jammed with them on friday night and really enjoyed myself. I have always been a huge fan of metal and had never really new anyone else who was that played music so i am really enjoying the challenge. I must admit i had lost alot of passion about music and felt pretty low in self confidence and had almost resigned myself to being a bedroom bassist. to be honest i am so excited to be playing in a band again i just hope it all goes well. Yeah it was an Alembic epicthat he used for one hot minute. Used it for every track except aeroplane and pea i think

I do think it is the strings, i think it would look great but those strings make it look too busy i think

That sucks. It is something that can just happen i guess. the nut is under a lot of pressure and it can break. It is better to think of this as an upgrade get a nice brass one and it wont break again i(n theory) and it may even improve the sound of your bass.

went with tort it looks cool but maybe a bit boring went with SD i have SD pickups in my jazz and it sounds very good.

i hate floyd roses they are total a**holes

sorry its the nickel round wound ones i use. soft top regular bottom i find them find for slap and everything

I really like d'addario strings. stringing my six sucks. have you got a string winder might help a bit.

I have a morley dual bass wah and i dont like it very much i dont think it has enough wah to it. have you tried other wahs? might be an idea to try a few like the dunlop wah

I signed it why not. I just got a whammy 4 and i no some people say the bass whammy wasnt that good but i would like the option to try it.

When i used to gig with a multi effect. i made the user created patches follow in the order of effects and clean i used for example in our first song it had a clean intro, distorted verse clean chorus distorted verse etc so i programmed my patches 1-clean 2-distorted 3-clean etc found that worked for me
