welcome to basschat. lots of knowledgable folk on here. The bass is going to look awesome. What kind of music does your bands play?

went with tort it looks cool but maybe a bit boring went with SD i have SD pickups in my jazz and it sounds very good.

i hate floyd roses they are total a**holes

sorry its the nickel round wound ones i use. soft top regular bottom i find them find for slap and everything

I really like d'addario strings. stringing my six sucks. have you got a string winder might help a bit.

I have a morley dual bass wah and i dont like it very much i dont think it has enough wah to it. have you tried other wahs? might be an idea to try a few like the dunlop wah

I signed it why not. I just got a whammy 4 and i no some people say the bass whammy wasnt that good but i would like the option to try it.

When i used to gig with a multi effect. i made the user created patches follow in the order of effects and clean i used for example in our first song it had a clean intro, distorted verse clean chorus distorted verse etc so i programmed my patches 1-clean 2-distorted 3-clean etc found that worked for me

and yeah his bass is lush. i can get a similar tone from my stingray tho so i will make do i am thinking of changing my tuning to steves i.e a high c instread of a low b

yeah im at uni of nottingham doing MA in Social Work. Steve digorgio is the man. pretty much the reason i have got two 5 string fretlesses. Im trying to get his three finger tech sorted n im getting there but its hard im at about 200bpm doing 8th notes. Yeah well like i say my g/f stays in lboro so im usually there every weekend except this one coming up but we should def go.

I like suffocation but i havnt heard that album. I tell you what a new band im going to be in wants to cover full body autopsy by necrophagist. its pretty hard he is a well good bass player as well. i am downloading some suffocation now

Yeah there is a guy on the Alembic forum who has a swith on his bass that does nothing so every time someone asks for a more Fender like tone he flicks that. says it works every time

yeah give us more info. But i feel you can never go wrong with a stingray 5 i love mine

the thing with dolphins is i think they nver look right in a case or on a wall but when someone is playing one it looks perfect. put a pic up with you playing it and we will see if im right or full of rubbish

i loved the roland cube i tried if i ever have enough money to have a practice amp and my main amp i am getting one of those
