  1. Why would someone do that to a bass its just silly. this could be a good deal for someone i would go for it if i wasnt left handed.
  2. Very nice in deed i live basses with black hardware and spectors seem to be great basses if they didnt charge so much for left hand i would be tempted
  3. nope but some of the comments seem very positive
  4. thats a shame cause they look cool as hell i think
  5. very good
  6. got to love the mark bass stuff i have the sa450 head and i love it. welcome to the party
  7. [attachment=4803:post_241...90_thumb.jpeg]Ok i am just not playing enough fretless to need a high end 5 string. So i would like to sell. I fancy a change and i need a new cab oh and i want to go visit my friend in Japan. Rick Turner Electroline Five string fretless Swamp ash body unlined rosewood? (i think) fingerboard Reference piezo bridge Rick turner soapbar birdseye maple neck sunburst finish. 18 volt preamp. He uses highlander now but i dont no if this is one. Hipshot ultralite tuners 2 oct neck Optional five layer peg head veneer on back figured wood on front not that horrible tortoise stuff he uses now comes with hardcase dont no if its the original or not but it fits perfectly. Its in really good condition jus one ding and a few scuffs i will take clser pics when i get a chance. This bass is really light and a great player and with the piezo it has a wide range of sounds. Bass player magazine said something like "it is impossible to make these basses sound bad" and i agree. They also said: "The Electroline has a phenomenal sound - one of the most defined low ends and singing tops ends we've heard. Individual notes swell as you sustain them, and the harmonics are sweet and clear...(it) exhibited super lows with lots of acoustic-like thump. The frequency response of the electronics is fantastic; we needed to add virtually no amp EQ." .........Bass Player magazine For more info see www.renaissanceguitars.com I would like £800 or trade for what you have. would consider px as well
  8. ahahahahahahahah I love it
  9. new band song got to learn it for a our gig on 23rd oh and the intro music on fretless. And when i get a second i will have another go at foul body autopsy by necrophagist.
  10. I tried a search but didnt get anything Has anyone ever bought one of these H and S basses before? There on ebay and they seem good value.
  11. I used the exams as a structure for my practice. i didnt take the exams but learned what you need for each grade and that was very useful to me.
  12. I have decided to do this review as i think schecters are very underestimated basses. Features: 8 It was made around 1997 and i am the second owner. Its a neck through bass with a five piece maple and walnut neck. The body is mahogany with a very thin bubinga top. electronics wise it has 2 EMG HZ humbuckers and a three band eq with cut and boost and EMG preamp. It is finished in a honey stain. It has a 35 inch scale and the string spacing at the bridge is 16mm. I think this is a great spec for the money but i gaveit an 8 because of the HZs and the finish but more on that in a bit. Sound 8 I play mostly metal and i drop tune to ACGCFA# low to high. The sound you get is really good it would suit jazz or maybe some rock better it dosnt work great for metal as the HZs dont cut through as much as id like. Its great for slap though. Im about to upgrade to EMG DCs. The eq is really good and you can dial in lots of different and useful tones the HZs are good but lack someting. The upper register on this bass sounds great really good for chords also sounds quite good for tapping. Action, fit and Finish 7 The action is great you can dial in what ever your like i have mine pretty low and it is still buzz free. The bass is slightly neck heavy not to bad but it does take some adjusting too. Its pretty heavy but it is a 6 string. What i think really lets the bass down is the finish i dont like it and it has not been well applied makes the bass look cheap. It is a 97 tho so maybe they have fixed this. Reliability 10 I have no worry with this thing i have had it for almost 2 years and i have used it in anger a few times with no problems. The components are all pretty high quality its a solid bass and i dont see anything going wrong I have never contacted Schecter so i have no idea what there custumer support is like. Overall 8 I love this bass its really hard to find 6 string leftys i got this on ebay for £500 second hand and i use it all the time. I will be upgrading the pickups but the HZs are ok for most things. This bass is let down by the finish the bubinga top cant even be a mm thick and the finish is badly applied. Most of the other schecter models have a better finish so maybe this was a bad day. I would def recommend this bass its really very good for the price. I added a pic from schecter so you can see what im talking about. Any questions feel free to ask
  13. "I'm never going to buy another bass" Yeah right the gas will get you in time im sure but seriously that is a great collection and its cool after so much work you have found something that works for you.
  14. oh well thats good news. I had no idea he had a heart attack glad he is recovering tho. I will bear that in mind cool thanks
  15. oh that sucks I love that shop. he made my friend afretless six string and it was great. that has just ruined my day
  16. I used a dowel and its been in there for about 3 years of playing with a straps so not bad. It was quite a light bass tho.
  17. oh no here we go again. stacedabass you might have missed them but recently there have been some very heated disscussions on number of strings so id advice you to stay away from that topic as you will open a can of worms. Nice videos tho some good playing
  18. I have a vintage stingray copy my G/F bought it for my birthday blessher. Its not bad i like the neck and it looks cool but the truss rod is too far to one side in the neck so you cant adjust it
  19. hello from notts. i used to live in leicester
  20. oh p.s mine was made in 97 i think so they may have addressed the finish prob
  21. i have a 6 string studio which i think is or was top of the line korean and i love it. I am going to upgrade the pickups, the hzs arnt bad but i play n a death metal band with the b drop tuned to a and it dosnt cut as well as i would like. Construction is great no problems and i have had it for almost 2 years. It is slightly neck heavy. on a strap it neck dives to a certain point but nothing too bad. i dont like the finish on mine (a honey stain) and it really isnt that well done the other schecters like the custom have a much better finish. overall i would def recomend. Im going to do a proper review tomorrow i think schecters are under rated here is a pic from schecter
  22. Yeah i have names for a few. Who said if you love something enough u will name it. i think it was Steve Bailey. All of mine are ladies. My first bass is called Morag cause its a scottish name and it just suited it. My Alembic is called Jazzmine(said like the spice). my six string is called synomine (said like the spice) but that was to do with the colour. I havnt named the others yet cause they havnt whispered there name to me yet.
  23. I like it its porn to me. how does the emgs sound? I am upgrading my hzs in my 6 string to dcs.
  24. Just remember that wood with a finish on looks a lot different i bet that top will look amazing.
  25. I wudnt mind if its no trouble pmd
