im building an alder body `P` with a mm pup at the moment, ive got a swamp ash bodied jazz with Wizard `84s that sounds very nice but is a heavy bugger

Just bought some picks, arrived quickly and well packaged, a pleasure to deal with, cheers Mel.

played a small venue in Hetton le Hole last night and after last weekends festival it was a polar opposite, from about 600+ last week, to 6 (for the first set) haha, still the show went ahead and come the second set when it got dark the place filled up and a good time was had by all

Ive decided to stick with my original pickup plan, the bass is going to visit Howard (Bassdoc) tomorrow for the neck and pup routing and im going to give him free reign on the scratchplate design as long as its black or white

What would people need to extend the top button, i could possibly get some steel spacers made where i work, maybe half inch long possibly longer? if anyone has an idea ill see what i can do.

at the minute im having a go at `slightly relicing` it by sanding through some of the stain in places and thanks for the tip on nitro laquer

the humbucker came of ebay but ive just bought a single coil job to fit the existing rout so the humbucker will probably get sold straight on.

Lightweight tuners and heavy bridge? or one of those weighted straps?

we changed our set 4 times during the gig last night! it was the first time we had played just a single set and we just went with audience reaction.

well it went quite well, weve played better but the crowd enjoyed it, even the 8 million midges hung around for our set! i now think ive got fleas!

Ooer ive never played in front of a large crowd before and im playing at Hawes Big Bash tonight and the weather is glorious so im thinking its going to be busy, im getting just a tad nervous about this one especially as weve added a few new songs to the set list that we only rehearsed this week, the only bonus is the song i sing has been removed for the night, we got the plum second off last spot as well

Ok, heres the latest, KiOgons lovely wiring harness arrived this week as did a Hipshot bridge, the pup, a jack socket cup and a tin of blue stain i`ll have to get in touch with Bassdoc and see if he can route my pickup hole bigger or attempt it myself with hammer and chisel and i really dont want to have to do that as for the stain, would using a sponge be better than using a brush? i was going to get one!
