This is a fantastic little chorus pedal, which fits on tbe most crowded pedalboards. I'm find I'm not really using chorus, so need the space. Has the very handy toneprint, which means you can "beam in" any one of tons of chorus toneprints. This is currently programmed with the "sweet emotion" which is a lively slightly flanged chorus. It's in fantastic condition and has the box (somewhere 😊) £50 incl UK only delivery

Plenty to think about, but as someone succinctly put, if a comp is "taking away" from your tone, then it's possibly not set right. It also depends on what you want/need from a compressor, dynamic control as a bandage for technique, general smoothing, tone improvement. There are so many different types of compressors all have their strengths and weakness. If you want transparent compression that doesn't really add much to what you have then Empress bass comp Aguilar TLC Keely bassist Mxr bass comp EBS multi comp (on normal mode) Ones that add a bit of "special sauce" and add a subtle fatness and Sheen Diamond BCP1 Cali76CB (and the big ones) FEA optifet Effectrode PC2A Markbass compressors EBS multi comp (on tube sim) Not an exhaustive list, a shameless plug, but I'm selling an FEA optifet, which is optical, and has that syrupy warm lazy feel, that loves p bass and flats, but can be relatively clean and bright, depending on the internal switching. For ease of use and sound quality, for me the EBS multicomp has always been a fave.

I'm not too sure about this and may live to regret it. I'm currently playing pubs and this Gem of a compressor is wasted, and as I need other stuff it's time to move it on. This is a high end legendary compressor, made with the finest audiophile materials, and fully featured, incl a footswitchable sidechain with a 3 band EQ, this enables you to tailor the comps threshold at certain frequencies. It's an optical comp so has a lovely warm clear tone, which can be adjusted via internal trimpots to go from clear to two levels of extra warmth/thickness, and a complete 12k rolloff for a very vintage sound (cali76 to Diamond at the push of a switch. The pedal maker retired and his son is currently fulfilling orders on a very long waiting list, with their existing materials, when completed I believe this is to be discontinued. It's in good condition, however the knobs are quite stiff, but at least you know they won't move when set. It's an older model in the grey/burgundy colour (newer ones are gold, the latest is pure black) It has high quality velcro on the back. Link to ovnilab review https://www.ovnilab.com/reviews/optifet.shtml Looking for £260 and I'll include UK only special delivery I'll only consider trades for a Cali76CB (older version) or a blue label EBS multicomp, plus cash.

V2 Thumpinator, the nice slim one that fits easily under pedalboards. This one has a custom 10M input so it can be used for piezo equipped instruments, as well as active basses or passive basses with a pedal/buffer in front of it (I have used this with a passive jazz directly in and it worked perfectly) I was always sceptical of these, however an old combo of mine was very boomy and I'd read these help so I bought one. I was very pleasantly surprised as it makes quite a bit of difference (to most rigs) it dramatically cuts everything below 25Hz, which is inaudible to human hearing but your bass rig will use power to reproduce, It really tightens the low end. £85 posted to UK only

I've not had this long and their great reputation is well deserved, but something special has come along so this is surplus. Digital power amp with 350 watts at 8ohm and 500 watts at 4ohm, 4 band Eq and the famous filters VLE (reduces treble and bass, for darker vintage tones) VPF (a bit like the old aural enhancers on the SWR rigs of old, gradually increases treble and bass while cutting mids). Very quiet and can get quite loud, I've played some large venues with this at 4 ohm and barely had it past 10 o clock. A very warm/organic tone with a great clarity to the sound, and sounds great with any bass or situation, also has that fantastic "Bumblebee" colour scheme. This is in fantastic condition and comes with the markbass rack bag (optional extra worth £59) Also in great condition. I will post this to UK only for £320

I'm very glad you put this up! I've just been asked to do a run of busking gigs for a local music festival, unfortunately I need some kind of battery powered amp and/or an acoustic bass. I was just looking at this joyo on anazon for £45, not sure if itll work against an acoustic guitar/cajon/fiddle. My search continues

That's the puppy! Easy to dial in and very resonant. The 1st version (sans true bypass) doesn't trigger well, and has a tiny volume jump, the latest blue label model just doesn't sound the same, and resonance on full still doesn't give the HI Q sound, although the filter modes are handy.
-
I cannot get any filter on the C4 to sound good for me, that's why I ended up buying a spacial Delivery which is fantastic, EBS IQ still my fave though (2nd gen, not the first or the latest)

I'd be interested in a 00 funk! I bought one once, I was so pleased and the dann thing was knackered out the box, I was gutted and I've not seen one since 😭

I'm a recent convert to these fantastic ladies. Some great covers done in their own way. I'm nicking their version of the Beatles "Hey Bulldog" for my covers band.

NPD yesterday! I got this funky little beauty. Still on my quest for "the filter", I've been really impressed by the demos for the EQD spacial Delivery. Has the usual up/down sweeps which I need from a filter (so many just go up) but has a funky sample and hold. I've had this feature in a prometheus deluxe I once owned, but couldn't get a musical sound out of that. This has one knob for rate and the random tones seem to a bit less... erm random 🤣 I could do sone wild stuff with this and my C4. It triggers well with all basses and simple to use, with plenty of resonance, and silent in the down mode (again a lot of downsweep filters are noisy) it also has an inreresting dual to blend between LP/BP/HP, which gives a bit more tonal variety than a switch. To top it all it comes in a funky sparkly white and orange. This will stay on the board (😉🤣) Octamizer isn't new, but they sound huge together.
