  1. Ive recently dealt with Jeff for some pickups. Great guy and went to the trouble to deliver personally. Regrettably there was a problem with them (nothing to do with Jeff, they were brand new and sealed) he refunded immediately without question, and covered return postage. Lovely guy with a lot of integrity, i wouldnt hesitate to deal again. Thanks so much Jeff, you're a gentleman.
  2. Just bought a couple of sets of DR's and some Fralin jazz pickups from Dave. Lovely fellow, posted the goods and hung on for payment while i got the cash together, great guy! Great comms and super quick postage, im a happy camper.
  3. Ive had a few good chats with Gaz in the past, he recently bought an MXR filter from me. Brilliant comms and fast payment, a great transaction. Thanks Gaz 😊
  4. Just sold some strings to Mike! Friendly comms and quick payment, ill happily deal again. Thanks Mike 😊
  5. Original pickups from an MIJ Fender 75RI jazz, 1995 and NOS bass, imported from japan by the previous owner. Some of these basses had pickups from the USA, as the bass was made strictly for Japanese market, i think these are MIJ. They are high quality and have a large bar magnet on the bottom, So i think these may be ceramic units. I briefly fitted them to my 82 JV jazz, and they have a very clear/modern HIFI tone, with a bright sound and tight in the bottom, they are fairly even in the mids and sound fantastic. I could be daft selling these, but i wont use them, and they'll really enliven a dull sounding jazz, maybe spruce up a squire, so hopefully theyll pimp someones baby for not much money 😊 They're In great, and id say fairly unused condition. Ill take £40 posted to UK for these.
  6. Gorgeous! Id love one of these, was this Steff's?
  7. I had one of these in Emerald Green, id bought it new in 1998, beautiful slim neck and a great sound, i still very much miss that bass, i sold it to buy a NT Streamer Stage one, i preffered the LX. The pickups definately arnt original, shame the preamps gone. Id love this, to stick a set of EMG's in.
  8. Guessing people buy them, add the players points then return, rinse then repeat.
  9. Ive done it again and put flats on my P bass as ive joined a large soul band, but i personally dont care for flats live. Ive decided to go back to rounds on the P (especially after listening to some Freddie Washington recently). They are worn in, but in good condition, The Tomastiks have a lovely mid voice and a smooth low end, with sweet highs, very like a quality orchestral string (it's what they do😁) they are also very low Tension, so very easy to play. £30 incl delivery to your door They are currently on the bass so no pics yet.
  10. Coppering up for stuff so for sale is this "attic find" Been up there for years, i think i bought it with a mind to restore and practice setting up and soldering electronics etc, i never did so i still dont have a clue. Its a Korean made Kay "Gremlin" bass from the 80's in arctic white, 28" scale shortscale. Its a bit of a project, but its mostly ok. 1- The fingerboard was painted and quite worn, id started to remove (not finished) with wire wool, and ive oiled it, itll need proper sanding, ive cleaned the frets up, but may need a good dress/polish. 2- Hardware- bridge is nothing special, maybe brass, but adjusts fine. The tuners are quite loose and pitted but work fine and stay in tune. It would benefit from some newer replacements, which can be bought cheaply. 3- pickup/electrics - a sticker on the back shows its fitted with a super distortion pickup 🤣 because thats what we all want. In actuality its a beefy sounding P bass sound. Ive cleaned the jack/pots and passive electrics, and they work fine. Truss rod- i couldnt move it, but with a newish set of shortscale strings on, it has a medium action and is easy to play. Theres a bit of paint on the body, but its all clean. Its very small and light, and perfect for anyone wanting a little fixer upper, or for a child to try which doesnt break the bank, before they have a gig three weeks later and ask for an Alembic. Make no mistake, its not perfect and sold as seen, it works and theres no buzz across the range of the instrument. I will post this to you UK only very well wrapped for £45 which by the time ive paid for postage will get me a pint of craft ale. Paypal F&F please, or you cover the fees 20250329_144215_1.mp4
  11. Lovely! I thought you only played spectors.
  12. Im waiting for pickups, bridges and tuners, im in the market 😊
  13. Yes! Thats true, approx 20% more.
  14. Ive just bought another new envelope filter which has rocked my world 🤣 I had my old fave the Bass IQ and the MXR and i was happy, until an impulse buy made one have to go. Ive had a shootout and this MXR funk machine needs to go, as ive no room on my boards and mostly use filters for synth, so i dont need three. It is a band pass filter with volumes for effect and your clean bass signal, which really adds depth. The main controls for decay (more like a frequency) Q (resonance) and a sensitivity (every filter should have this) Its a very easy filter to get a good sound from without too much faffing. Its in as new condition, with brand new velcro, it also comes with the box also in fantastic condition. This is also one of the sought after early purple Sparkle, it looks fantastic. Sold
  15. Im sure someone in the wanted section is after a small stone

  17. Ive just bought two very synthy pedals (Okto Nojs and Subdecay prometheus) lovely friendly communication and speedy delivery, and great packaging, great transaction. Thanks Dave 😊
