1. Damn I've missed it again! Does anyone know if this will be a regular thing? It's something I'm very interested in.
2. I'm on the lookout for another compact cab to go with my ABM 500 Evo II and ABM 115 compact. I was thinking about another Compact series cab, either another 115 or a 210 but then I stumbled across the new Neo range http://ashdownmusic.com/products/1/Bass-Amplification/13/ABM-NEO/ Does anybody know much about these? Looks pretty good. But then again, I might even go Bare...
3. If I were you I'd be looking on the secondhand market. You can get some fantastic basses new for this kind of money or even less (Squire VM and MM SUBs for example) but with basses like G&Ls, Yamahas, Overwater/Tanglewood going for that kind of money, I'd check them out. The other thing is to make sure that your mate tries before he buys and don't be hung up on the name on the headstock. Ibanez and Tokai for example make some great copies. Once you try a bass, you'll know if it's worth your £350 or not
4.
Relax, guys, it's summer, people are on holiday or planning to go
If anyone is planning on coming to Cornwall, you could bring down the Baton for me
5. In a word - Trainwreck.
6. I've tried a few Ricks. Some were beautiful to play, others were complete dogs. Same story as anything else really...
7. Fender Stainless Steel Flatwounds are very bright for flats.
Well thats how it works for me with my PC. As soon as its hooked up to my Windows 8 PC it becomes the default in and output device.
+1 I'm not sure whether you need to download the ASIO driver first though. I did, but I didn't try using the B3 without first installing it.
10.
The only other rig I have is my Eden E10 practice amp and it's the same story there - the P bass has gone from rich "n" full tone to barky/middy with a distict lack of bottom end. I did lower the saddles a little last week, but I haven't touched the neck relief because that's too much of a faff (you have to remove the pickguard to get to the truss-rod adjuster).
I just whip the neck off to get to mine
11. I know Steve! I rehearsed with him a few times for that Rush tribute that he's doing Our gig list on the website is usually up to date. When we remember we make Facebook event pages etc too. Funny you should mention wakes and Bar Mitzvahs, we are available but the bookings haven't come in yet!

At the moment always run it off of my laptop via USB at home. Live I just use my Powerplant on the board. Though I have noticed a bit of hiss so perhaps I'll get one of these isolating doodads...
13.
Well thankyou, my good fellow. Unfortunately I'm already busy. What is the name of this good band, pray? I may have to check them out another time.
A bunch of guys in silly shirts by the name of Fragile Sanity. We also do weddings!
14.
I'm in Tuckingmill, just outside Camborne. Not quite the asshole of the universe, but sort of on the ringpiece!
God bless you sir Say, if you fancy a trip to Penzance tonight, I hear there's a good band at the Zero Lounge
15. Dynargh! Where abouts in Cornwall are you?
16. If my job interview tomorrow goes well then I'll be very tempted by this!
17.
Try putting your fretting hand on the headstock when playing open notes and press in the same way you would whilst fretting. This really helps.
I'll admit that I'm a "shape" player and this has helped me get to grips with using open strings for more than pedal notes. I put my index finger on or behind the nut to create a zero position and then my scale patterns are preserved!
18. Thanks for the offer but I'm looking for something with a useable frequency range up to about 4kHz really.
19. I've just acquired an Ashdown MAG 115 Deep and am considering upgrading the speaker. Would this be suitable?
20. Scott Devine has a downloadable backing tack bundle in all 12 keys here.

There is a ground lift switch on the back. Doesn't that cure it?
23.
What, brown and sticky?
It was black actually. So perhaps what I meant to say was "It plays like the Guinness sh*ts"
24. My aim for this year is to begin my assault on jazz, at least to a point where I can make a passable attempt at a II V I and maybe a few standards. First I need to learn and re-learn my chord structures, scales and modes and then feel out how to apply them. I've been using Scott's Bass Lessons, are there any other resources that someone could recommend that would complement that?

I'm the same. I do use distortion, but not from the B3. I'm more interested in using it for cool/funky synth effects!
