1. Well i need some ideas on what head to go for or try out. I have always had nice basses, but never nice amps, its usually the last thing i want to buy and everyone knows it! I am currently in a very rare amp buying mood. So i want to take advantage of it and get an amp i would keep forever. I play Death metal with a fretless pedulla, i also play funk on whatever fretted bass i have at the time. I play with fingers 100% of the time (When playing seriously anyway) Budget: 500-1000 Wants: Lots of mid control, punch and definition. Cuts through twin guitar stack ENGL's. All Valve (If possible, hybrid maybe) 2ohm load capability. Grindy sounds as well as clean. Huge amount of power. WOW factor. Looks evil/awesome/cool. Modern sounds. (Both vintage and modern would be nice) Second hand. What i would want but is optional Bi-Amp Twin channel. What i dont want. All SS. Something that needs added effects or lots of tweaking to sound good. Ashdown. Something that can only do a low end rumble. I would rather not. Have to buy seperates (IE seperate power amp) unless i really have to. I was thinking about a Mesa TITAN, but i am put off reading bad reviews. Though it does look awesome and fits alot of the description. I will be buying the head first, Then selling my current rig to buy a decent cab or two. Anyway. any help would be appreciated. For the record, i have owned the following amps. Laney DP150 Marshall IBS200/400 Bi-Amp Ashdown Little Giant 1000. Yup thats it. Amp shopping and research makes me depressed folks, but help me buy an amp before i change my mind and not get a new one! Playing my Pedulla through a rig that cost me 450 total (The head was 300) Is depressing! Rob.
2. Being transportless i would love to go, if anyone is going from Bristol or travelling through and dont mind picking me up and dropping off (I live just off the dual carraigeway leading from the M32) then i will come. I would also have to go there and back on the same day. I am sure i can supply some petrol money
3. Hey guys. The Mode Four is in good condition with some marks on the control plate at the front. Works brilliantly, recently retubed both pre-amp valves with EHX tubes. The footswitch is immaculate. Anyway, £280 FIRM, picked up from Bristol ONLY. No postage. Rob.
4. Balls, i would love a 4ohm black widow, looks great! Too far for me though
5. Up for sale is a Schecter C7+ Diamond series. Set neck, grover tuners, gorgeous flame maple cap. This was on Ebay and was sold but the buyer pulled out. The pickups have been upgraded with Dimarzios an X2N7 in the bridge and PAF 7 in the neck, Both pickups have been coil tapped. All the pots have been replaced with higher quality ones. The pickup surrounds have cracks in them, this does not take away anything from the guitar playability or valuewise, they can be replaced very easily for £2 on ebay! Otherwise the guitar is perfect with no imperfections anywhere on the guitar. The photos make the guitar seem redder then it actually is! The Flame maple looks brilliant in person. If you require additional information or photos please let me know! I would much prefer local pickup in Bristol. However if the guitar is posted please allow a few days for it to be packed up and sent, i will be using Parcelforce and will include tracking numbers. Payment by Paypal/Bank transfer or cash on collection. £175 collected, or 190 posted. Cheers!
6. Oh my, this looks like it will give my Pedulla Pentabuzz a run for its money! I dont know if i like this or the kinal more!

9. Hey guys. As an advocate of fretless bass playing, i keep coming back to a few specific bass players and songs that really stand out. Here for your perusal are 3 of them! Fretless in Rock First up its Tony Franklin with Blue Murder, A song called Billy, the studio versions sounds much better but this is the only version i can find. Great hooks in the song and a great Jaydee Fretless tone. Tony Franklin may persuade me to play with a pick one of these days. The breaks right at the end are pretty awesome The muted riff at the beginning is really tasteful i feel. (The hair is not however) Fretless in Death Metal I have praised this band before on the boards, but i would like it revisited Quo Vadis, Technical death metal band from Canada, Two absoloutely amazing guitarists, one of the best drummers in the business, plus with some real talented fretless bass. The fretless really starts to shine through after the intro, fantastic lines that dont just follow the root note. Again the studio version sounds better. Quo Vadis convinced me to play fretless in my own Death metal styled band. (Recording very soon) Fretless in Fusion Brand-X I have been an admirer of Phil Collins drumwork for a long time, when i stumbled across this band and Percy jones great playing. Pretty technical, great feel and speed. A landmark in electric fretless playing. I dont think i could replicate these lines even if i tried! So if you guys can introduce me to some more bands and great fretless lines that would be appreciated.
10. What sort of value are you placing on this? Cheers. Rob.

I've got the JCM 800 BASS - 1935 angled cab too. The head is worth a bit, so make me a fair offer please, if you're interested. Can split if ya just want the head. I'll deliver it, if you've got no wheels....bung me some juice money....i'm in sunny Harrogate, North Yorkshire. Can email more pics
Whoever buys this should buy my Matching JCM800 1x18 Bass cab Its non angled and has wheels so it can be the bottom of this rig (That 18 sure pumps out some brownsound) http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=55010 great rig man!
15.
Guess I wasnt going to get an answer to my question about pricing for the SG?
Bugger, i went a blank and completely missed your post! I need my eyes tested. Sorry mate I was asking 180. picked up.
16. Well i am 24 years old with a crumbling back. I was all for going lightweight after the doctor told me to stop lifting heavy things. Bought a lightweight cab and Ashdown Little Giant. Then i tried some big heavy Peavey Black widow cabs...... So now i have 2 heavy peavey cabs powered by an ultra lightweight Ashdown little giant.... I might as well just get a full on valve head now :S Mind you the Little giant does sound amazing considering!
17. Hey guys. Took this in a trade recently. There is some buckle rash on the back, apart from that its pretty clean Only one pic at the moment thats pretty old, but will get more pics tonight! Has Gotoh Tuners. Not really looking for trades. £225 FIRM picked up from Bristol.
18. Back up for sale as previous buyer pulled out. £139!
19. Wish i had some vintage guitars to trade for the Mockingbird, got any pics? Any modern guitars tickle your fancy? http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=54082
20.
Hi guys and thanks for welcomes. Went to your Myspace link Zoe, nice to hear someone with similar names on the influences list and that plays that well; got some groove going on there Good to hear from you again Rob. I saw some link or other from a post and happened to click on a profile link, saw the name Asomodai and some long neglected neurons fired into action The amazing deductive powers of a C++ programmer I guess How's the Bristol metal scene these days? What sort of stuff are you doing in your new band? Is Gareth still pounding out those impressive kick drum beats? And, more importantly, how's the bass and <whisper>guitar</whisper> collection these days? Cheers, Shieldy
Metal Scene? Worse then before tbh, Venues are closing down, promoters are getting thin on the ice, no one is coming out to watch bands. Apart from the reasonably big bands (Amputated and co) we dont have much anymore! Gareths just fine, hes tamed down the drums for this band www.myspace.com/rowofashes1 (I am not on that demo but we are recording an Ep in the next month!) We'll be playing Antixmas, Sachas booked us up to do it this year. Bass collection, just one at the moment Pedulla Pentabuzz 5 string fretless, i have discovered the joys of being 100% fretless Your playing on the first IOC was actually some influence going into fretless full time. (As well as the guy from Quo Vadis) Guitar collection? Dont speak of it, i started writing for ROA a few months ago and decided to buy a guitar and amp, I now have a half stack and 4 guitars, i need to get rid of them! Why does this always happen, i am a bass player and have 4 guitars Anyway, i hope things are good with you and Kachana!
