    Hey guys. Up for sale is my red NJ ironbird. Made in Japan. Its in pretty good nick for the age and for being a pointy bass. It comes with the original tatty hardcase(its near impossible to find bass hardcases for IB's. The pickup config makes the bass sound growly as hell. Comes with dunlop straplocks. Really nice low action, strung with Ddarrios. 95-35 Pickup is from BRISTOL only. REDUCED TO £240.

    Hey guys I have to sell this now I need a 5 string neck thru that looks pretty evil for when i go to Germany and panama this year, I have found what i want but according to the even number bass rule, i need to sell before i can buy. Anyway. Its a lovely bass. Cort Curbow body with a spalt maple top thats 2 and a half CM in places, On top of mahagony and maple sandwiched neck and mahagony wings. Flame veneer headstock, Ebony fingerboard and a nice Burpy tone complete the package. I only bought the bass a few weeks ago and would love to keep the bass seriously i would but i cant. I have put a set of overwater stainless steel custom gauge set on it. Very light, Though i still have the original heavy gauge strings. Asking for £210. Pickup at Bristol ONLY. I will not post. Rob.

Anyone?[/quote] First of all stop thinking like a guitarist. I would start on a 4 string at first before going to a 6, 6xers have a huge neck. Also Basses arent tuned EADGBE it is usually BEADGC. Its far more useful to have a LOW B string as apposed to a high C and an even higher note. Or else you might as well just stick with a guitar. Bass is part of a different family of instruments to guitar, So the tuning is different. Garenteed in 99% of band situations you would not use the High C string let alone any higher.

Must be picked up from Bristol.
