Rob's first Eagle was the first BC Rich I saw that made me take them seriously as guitar and bass builders. Once I'd done a bit of reading I realised there was a whole load of history and quality behind BC Rich, not just the cheap guitars you see dotted around Sound Control. I've got a late NJ Mockingbird which sounds great, but the "100 piece neck" won't straighten so I need to get it looked at when I can afford it. Rad looker though! I'd love an Eagle like Rob's sunburst one too, that one is a beaut.
trade your custom shop Status S2.... Oh wait. Never mind
Thanks Bob! The one you played of mine is a 1984 BC Rich Eagle, but it's the New Jersey Series, not one of the USA models (USA parts constructed in Japan). Unlike Shockwave's Eagle, it's a passive model but with vintage Dimarzio pick ups and a beautiful thru-neck that sounds and plays like a dream! IIRC, Shockwave's Eagle is an early 2000s Custom Shop model I believe and it looks very nice too! It has the full-monty in terms of the active circuitry and it is very, very versatile tonally... I had an original 1978 Eagle that was stolen in 1995 and I'm still gutted by that loss! As has been said by bass ferret, BC Rich do indeed make some very high quality basses.
Yup my tobacco burst eagle is a custom shop one, it was used on the 2003 Namm Stand for BCR. Fell into Lornes hands then fell into mine! I also have an NJ eagle myself, a Nice sensible coloured one. Its only a bolt on, But a very early NJ series. It actually plays probably better then the Custom shop one at the moment(I really need a nice setup and new strings on the custom shop one) Mind you, My first BCR was a NJ Eagle NT. I really didnt like it, the neck just didnt feel nice and had a permanent kink in it. It was a passive twin P like yours. I couldnt stand it but i got it and sold it on for a steal.

Hey guys. I just need a few things cleared up. I have a Marshall rackmount amp. On the back it says 200watt 4ohm min output, it has two speaker outputs. Can i plug a 4 ohm speaker in each port? Or would it still add up to 2ohms like it would if you daisychained the two cabs to one speaker output? Also if i decided to replace the speakers in a 2x10 8 Ohm cab. Would i use two 16ohm speakers? Or two 8ohm speakers to acheive the 8ohm level? Please answer in laymans terms. I want to take out the low powered drivers in a Hartke Tp series and put Eminence deltas in them. Cheers. Rob.

What is the difference between a jazz and precision bass?
Shockwave replied to Kleng77's topic in Bass Guitars
....easy. Real men play Precision basses.
Correction, Real men play P styled necks. Any body is fine, as long as it is a P styled neck -
So what actually happened after? Did monster back down?

Gig Preview. Fleece and Firkin, Bristol, 17th of April. A bit worried. It's weird, I never get nervous before a gig. I have been playing for a good 4 years now and have played 100+ Gigs now. Many different genres, quite a few last minute Deps for original bands (Of which i am now a goto man for depping in Bristol). However Thursday is different, I joined a band last year and it's my first gig with them. Its a goth rock band, Not my usual sort of thing, but i love the people and i have a reasonable amount of Room to strut my stuff (Am a technical player) It's an album launch release for us. Its the first time that a gig has meant that much to me. Its the start of our tour. It's my first gig with this band and i dont want to muck up. I will be playing my Warlock 5 string, through a Marshall Rack stack and 4x10 cab. Backup is from one of my 4 string ironbirds. However no matter how nervous i am, I will BLOW the audience away, I have been practicing a hell of alot and cant wait to go out there and the give the crowd something to look at. There isent a huge amount of talent in the goth music circle and i want to change that;-) Also its my first gig in make-up and costume. I'll probably be a bit uncomfortable and i'll probably get foundation in my eyes. Also my brother and all my family and friends will be there... Seeing me in MAKE UP. Lol. Let you guys know how it goes! Rob.

Hey guys. Sorry for the double threads. I need to buy 2 sets of 2 EMG 5 string P bass pickups. However EMG have huge restrictions of sending Anything from the US to the UK. And i dont want to pay£80 a pickup from thomann. Anybody know anyone i can import EMG P5s from at around £50 or lower a pickup? Rob. Edit: This goes for any 5 string P bass pickups. Anyone know where i can get some nice active ones? Such as Bart or emg?
