So wait, Shall i get 2 200 watt 4 Ohm cabs? Or 2 400 watt 4 ohm cabs? As its only 200 a side then i could get away with just 200 watt cabs right?

Hey guys. Trading my marshall 4x10 400 watt 8Ohm Bass cab. Just bought an amp that requires either 4, 8 Ohm cabs to use fully or 2, 4Ohm cabs. So this needs to go. Need to trade it for a 4 Ohm 4x10 or 1x15. Preferably a Marshall or a Trace elliot cab. But others considered. I am in Bristol and no transport so unfortunatly you guys would have to come to me! Price is £90 Rob.
P.S. I used to own a 3520.. What a great amp!!! Sounded wicked through a big heavy 2x15!
Haha, So essentially, All i can do now is plug both the 8ohms into one side and have 200 watts that my old one would have provided? DAMN. Oh well, the 3540 Looks better ;-) So who wants a 8ohm cab ? I love the marshalls sound Brought my 3520 everywhere with me this year.

Hey guys. I have just purchased a Marshall 3540 to replace the lower powered 3520 that i had. However there is more controls and jacks on the back to rival a jaguar car interior. Anyway, I need to utilize all 400 watts of power through two cabs. However there are 4 outputs on the back. Each pair of outputs are controlled by their own 200 watt power amp. How will i get 400 watts out of the amp with just two cabs? The Manual which explains more clearly can be seen here. http://www.drtube.com/schematics/marshall/ibs.pdf Please help me out! My two cabs are both marshall 4x10's 400 watt 8Ohm cabs. Would i need 4 to get the full output? Or would i need 2 4ohm cabs instead?

Hey guys. For sale. BC Rich USA Ironbird bass. early 90's model bought New old stock last year. Has a few dings but nothing major. Crack near the neck pocket but structurally sound and has been repaired. Plays like butter, Probably my best playing bass currently. Has heavy duty Grover tuners. The finish on the back of the neck is very thin, Feels very nice. The action is very very low. Really Growly tone. Lighter then it looks. I have moved the Strap pin to the neckplate and it balances alot better then it used to! It is very very comfortable sitting down. The bass has a great slap tone believe it or not! This bass will come with the original hardcase. Pickup is from Bristol. As for trades and part ex's, I am looking for anything fretless, 4/5 string jazz's/P's, Effects pedals, Possibly a Modern Bi-Amp head. (With funky modern tone) Rob.

Ahh heres my tale. I bought a Tokai P bass Brand new from a shop in Bath, It was a jap made one, trans cream with gold hardware. It was my first new bass. I spent alot of time oohing and ahhing over (Something i never do, i allways impulse buy!) I used it for the majority of gigs in my first years in a band. My girlfriend wanted to play bass, so i traded the tokai out to a guy in the midlands for a bass she wanted. anyway, safe to say she never picked it up. That christmas she bought me a spector legend 6. The bass was ok but not great. i part exed it back for the Tokai. Anyway, I loved having the tokai back. I stripped her down and pimped her out in all gold hardware. She looked lovely. However she was my cheapest bass and usually i look to upgrade upwards. So when money became tight and i had an oppurunity to buy a great bass. I had to sell it on. I know who has it as he is a fellow BCer. And he knows i want it back... hes just toying with me Before picture., A set of EMG's. £30 A gold Anodized scratchplate £15 Gold Pickup and bridge covers (The pickup one had to be gold plated as no one has ever manufactured them) £40 Gold plated thumbrest £12 Optima 24KT strings £32 I desperately want it back as i have alot of sentimental value in it. Plus it played great. Though i never got a perfect sound out of her. Its one of those basses i am destined to die with! Rob.

bloc party/departure inf bass sound - EQ setting help
Shockwave replied to Mod_Machine's topic in General Discussion
Bloc partys bassist uses a MIM P LPB bass. The departure bassist uses Warwick P-J basses. Good luck in getting the tone! They are both very different from eachother, -
They do 6 strings?!? I couldn't find a single one on their site, I'd be tempted for a 6-string eagle, do you have any specific links to ones that have been made?
Not an eagle, but i have seen a bich 6 and a warlock 6 and a bernardo 6. let me try and find the pics. -
I really like that Warlock, does it come with a hardcase? Do you have any recordings of it, i've never played a bc rich before.
The warlock doesant come with a hardcase, i do have recordings. However it doesant matter as it looks like the mockingbird is on its way out and i need to keep one of my 5 strings! Currently the Red Ironbird and 5 string mockingbird is ON HOLD pending payment, The warlock is withdrawn for the moment. The price on the USA ironbird has been reduced from £440 to £400. -
