Charvel SAN Dimas pj in metallic blue. Beautiful looking bass. Metallic blue body, roasted neck and cream dimarzios for the pick ups. Firstly the hardware is superb on this - great tuners and a superb fender hi mass bridge. Dimarzio pickups sound just lovely. The mid p/j sound is phenomenol and reminiscent of my old usa g&l l2000. The neck is probably the best neck of any bass I've had. It more a jazz neck, its slim and fast. Very fast due to the roasted wood and satin finish. In fantastic condition just one tiny groove on the back that is very difficult to see. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY From stock these are an active and passive bass. This bass is now purely passive with the blend switch still working perfectly. The active electronics are still there, but I mistakenly put a new battery in the wrong way and it damaged the active circuit. However, a lot of people like to swap out the active electronics on these so you can get this at a bargain price and replace with what ever active circuit you want or continue just in passive mode. I'd 100% keep and play this every gig if I could, but I've gone down the tribute line again and need to replace with the basses of whom I'm covering. Any questions just ask. It's a beautiful bass at a decent price. Pick up Leyland Lancashire.

Another hissy fit - Sleaford Mods this time

Golden rule for me - if they're there and theres an option to walk away and they dont, then they're enjoying it. The band is there to entertain the crowd, not the other way round (although I do love a good whinge backstage if it's been a poor gig ) -

Completely agree. I'd be an awful audience member. I just stand there, dont move and just stare taking it all in. I'll be enjoying it on a different level to the people jumping around, but I'd be enjoying it just as much, if not more. -
I kinda miss those types of 70s albums. Wizards, folklore, stories etc and fantastic songs and musicianship.

This pedal has been a long time coming from Ampeg. Great to hear it sounds superb and has a whole host of features..... But flipping eck ampeg, if you really want it to be an all in one pedal, put a tuner in and have digital storage for your analogue settings like the vt deluxe. Then - instant pre sets for smooth, rock, drive etc - that's what most players need nowadays. Not many will tweak at pedal level per song or worse, mid song. Frustrating as I'd have this pedal in a heartbeat otherwise.

Are they still touring? I'd love to see them.

Loved that album!

Once you sell stuff it just becomes easier. Yes, you might want an old bass back, but once you sell and sell and sell, you realise it doesnt really matter. Theres so much bass supply out there and so many easy accessible ways to buy it, you'll soon get over any sellers remorse.

Yeh, I'm just confused if its loud enough with 1 cab, why youd need three or have to sell your amp?
-
An ABM600 and 2x12 cab cant possibly be too quiet can it?

It's an android tablet.

That's great thank you.

Hi all, Just wondering if anyone knows if there is a way to physically connect our tablet to the soundcraft ui12 mixer? Usually we just use over wifi, but last night nobody could log on with tablets, phones or anything. So much so that we had no control over the mix, although luckily it loaded up a previous one which was passable. So, is there anyway to cable up a phone or tablet to the mixer for rock solid connection in an emergency?

Ah good! Do we have any details about it anywhere?

Sorry, posted in wrong section.

Anyone know what's happened to Quilter bass amps? I loved my bb800. Then they brought out the 802, now seemingly nothing?

It was a polite way of saying be humble, just like the real top guys on here are to everyone else.

You do know theres all kinds of bassists on here? From beginners, pub players, club players, pit players, pros, people who do it for fun, touring bands, famous bands, famous bassists and a lot of genuine legends. No ones opinion is worth more than anyone else's. That's what makes this site great - it's a discussion forum, not a platform for im right and youre wrong statements.

I emailed them through their site about a month ago and heard nothing back. I think you have to physically ring them for a response.

I think they're a good basic product. I think they're suffering a bit as lots of people are using the term 'upgrading with.....' and with 'superb Wilkinson etc etc'. They're good. They do a job. But they're not a significant upgrade compared to other brands renowned for being an upgrade.

Yep! Interestingly as well, someone pointed out the similarities between stus amp and his old hartke ha amps. Makes perfect sense.
-
I always wanted this amp. Everything a class d amp should be. Banded eq, valve and s/s mix and loud and light.
-
I forgot to add..... most of these higher end speakers also have a kind of mini mixer on the back now, so you can always add in other instruments in there for yourself if needed.

For me, frfr is only used as a fresh canvas to colour. I've gone iems in one band and whilst the other bands are still in rehersal I'm going to talk them into it, but I'm currently at rehersal going straight into the pa. If it helps the very best addition to the sound through the pa is a fantastic 8x10 sim I found. That added (to of all things) a behringer bdi21 gives a fantastic sound. The pa we use isnt cheap - yamaha dxr15, but it's good. Around £500 per speaker. So, if I had to get an amp for any of these bands I'd just get one of them and plug my pedal board into it. Or, to be fair I'd probably end up putting everyone through it and have it as a personal monitor for myself. QSC, RCF all great, but with yamaha you want dxr or dsr. Dont get lesser ones as they are a different quality.
