  1. was reading some posts and got to thinking what was your first gig you attended as a fan ? to get the ball rolling mine was the housemartins brixton academy 1988?
  2. ive got my mates westbury guitar in the cupboard i was gonna get the spray can out till i read this doh!
  3. i love p basses but mainly i put it down to two things the neck shape and a humbucker pickup,i own a jazz geddy lee i never play and lately i dont even play my hot rod p bass im using two copies a cheri korean p and a yamaha attitude plus (the cheapy one) i love these two mainly cause they feel like precisions although i have opened my mind lately and bought an ibanez sr505 which i will say sounds great and plays great. so to sum up i blame my love of all things precision on my marlin sidewinder(a p bass copy) my first bass

  12. yep if that is my old one it only had a couple of age related dings when i sold it but the bloke who sold it on did add some relicing dunno why it looked good as it was the only reason i think its my old one is because of the machineheads which arent normally found on jap precisions and i put fender stamped 70s usa ones on mine also it had a seymour duncan vintage p bass pickup installed so it sounded awesome
  13. hi that looks suspiciously like my old bass which i sold on ebay a few years back and the chap then sold it on a while after again on ebay and he had reliced it a bit

  16. i have owned a 77 and 75 p bass usa, two early japan e serial number p basses a p bass lyte, a geddy lee, a standard mexican p bass and i now own a hot rod p bass from the nineties i would say the p bass usa basses where better but i have never paid more than £500 for one which was the hot rod p bass i bought new

  22. ive just bought one of these im well impressed its my first five string and it sounds great
  23. i have a cheri korean p bass and i bought a cheap vintage kent armstrong p bass pickup for it, sounds great the more i here it the more i like it
