  10. yamaha rbx 760a for sale serial number opo4195 translucent red finish i bought this bass a few months back it has belt buckling on the back and couple of scratches and some fret wear, not major theres still alot of life in the frets and when i was checking it over i noticed some of the pots where a bit battered i manage to straighten three of them out but the other one split in two so could do with replacing it is still usable but am just giving an honest appraisal of the bass apart from that the bass is still solid and machineheads are fine neck is straight and i have all the covers etc you cant see in the pics ,i stripped it down with the intention of getting new pot etc and restringing it but i cant see me getting round to it £100 or swap for a bass or guitar [attachment=43411:rbx1.jpg] [attachment=43412:rbx2.jpg] [attachment=43413:rbx3.jpg] [attachment=43414:rbx5.jpg]

  14. i had a sunburst one bought it new years back but could never get on with it, i love precisions but the lyte was a different kinda p bass, active and light and i was used to a 70s p bass so traded it in
  15. ive got an ah300 smx head and i would describe the sound as clean and powerful i dont think i ever gigged with it turned above 3 on the volume and normally set on about 2. i always wanted a slightly distorted bass sound but could never achieve it without it sounding crap so opted for compressed clean and i still have the head think i bought mine new from electro too when they were fazing them out for the later model
  16. Thin lizzy have always been one of my favourite bands the robertson gorham era jailbreak i wonder what kinda stuff phil wouldve played these days

  20. i sold my 77 natural p bass for £150 back in the nineties and i once bought a 1975 sunburst in good nick for £150 both sadly long gone now though you win some you lose some
  21. here are a couple of mine first up a korean made cheri bass cos 50 something pound, stripped out original pickups and found an old dimarzio p pickup on ebay for £10. i really like this bass and it has the sound to go with it now second up is a yamaha attitude plus picked up in a charity shop for £20, it had no strings or bridge saddles and would you believe they also had a jap squier strat for £25 anyhow sound was ok but i swapped pickup for a kent armstrong i had around which has improved the tone no end i reckon the pair as they are have probably cost me including the pickups maybe a shade over £100 [attachment=37250:PICT0062.JPG] [attachment=37251:PICT0063.JPG]
  22. ive had a similar experience recently buying a bass on ebay.the buyer said excellent condition it has serious belt buckling on the back all the control knobs were bent and to top it off he sent it to me just in a gig bag? although he isnt the worst someone once sent me a bass wrapped in a binbag doh! anyhow im gonna keep hold of it and refurb it as its not beyond fixing and only cost me £75 but i would say your well within your rights to return it,depending how long you have had it if you bought it with paypal you can raise a claim with them ive had three recently and got all my money back
