Nah, a valve amp will put the same load out into whatever impedance. It's only solid state amps that put higher power into smaller impedance loads.
I use a Johnnyshredfreak supply which is like a cheaper version of the Diago - very quiet, less max current but still more than enough for me, and a fraction of the price.
I'd swear that both the Diago and Johnnyshredfreak PSU's were made by the same manufacturer. As for the different currents, the Diago just states the max current, the Johnnyshredfreak one states the recommended one. Bought this a few months ago off here and am just not using it as I'm moving more and more away from live looping in my sets. It's a shame as it's the most fun looper I've tried (and I've used most). The volume roller which can be controlled with your foot is particularly clever. Features copied from the website: * You can create loops that will play indefinitely. * 2 independent loops are available, each can have its own decay rate. * Multiple parts can be layered to make a complex loop. * Loops can be played in reverse and layers can be added in forward or reverse. * The Rang™ sampler has a mode for playing reverse leads live. * 5 slow playback rates are available. * 12 sample rates are available from 8 to 24KHz; all samples are 16 bits. * 7 decay rates are available, including no decay and slapback (1 repeat). * The behavior of several of the buttons can be changed to suit your style. * The Rang™ sampler is a great pure delay effect, as well as a looper. Website: http://www.boomerangmusic.com/Rang%20Plus/Rang%20Plus.html Manual: http://www.boomerangmusic.com/Rang%20Plus/V2%20Manual.html It's in good but used condition, totally working. It didn't have a PSU when I bought it and I've been using it with a PSU from another piece of gear so it will be sold without one again. It takes a standard +9v supply, I've been using it with a Line6 one. £120 plus postage or may be interested in trades for FX, valve amps or even a gu**ar.
if memory serves its a mixer desk case
Yup, it was in the 'Bargain basement' of a flightcase builder for £50 a few years ago. Bargain as it's a proper full flightcase, I just had to change the hinges.
did you stop to endorse danelectro french toast?
Since then I've had a Microsynth, a Micro Pog, a Unibass and a PS-5 for octave up but the Octron is the best octave pedal I've ever used. I want a second.
We had quiet sections?
My bad, meant to say 'quieter'.

Nice, you've done very well there.

Yea, used them at one gig so far which was a festival so not playing through my rig. Will post up some carefully considered words when I've had the chance to try them properly.

Foot switchable valve drive, rear tuner out, fx loop with front blend control, several outputs on jack as well as balanced XLR. Wouldn't need much else personally as long as it was packed with valves and sounded awesome. Interested in poweramp valves with dummy loads as in DHA and Warwick Protube amps too.
My God i hope you didn't actually have a monitor! Im very surprised your even miced up! I also like the choice of cone to mic up on the right! I normally go for the bottom one so it dont get knocked over.
That would be my doing and my amp as it happens. That gig was massively rushed and running extremely late. The house engineer only had a tall stand for it and nobody was going anywhere near the amp on stage so it didn't matter. Only ended putting it on during quiet sections in the end as the PA was puny and the amp was crazy loud.
