1. [s]For Sale[/s] SOLD £110 the pair (face value) 2 x Alter Bridge tickets Block M Row 6 - seated in the stalls about half way back on the right as you look at the stage. Bought 4 tickets hoping my kids would come but they're not fussed so its just me and the wife now. That leaves 2 spares....... I have the tickets in hand and can send images and receipts Happy to post at your cost, you can pop round and grab them or i can meet somewhere in London, Herts, Essex, Kent beforehand- whichever you prefer. Thanks for looking :-)
 2. I'm not sure but i think you may invoke customs charges for moving things around outside Europe - it may not be quite so simple as it seems. Probably expensive to ship in both directions too. It could be a better idea to take a chance and buy on on Alex's verbal recommendation and just flip it in Canada if you don't get on with it - they're pretty rare out there so wont hang about long and the price should stay propped up to a point.
 3.
The last band van I had, we put vinyls on the side saying "Security - Dog Section" down the side. It never got nicked... not sure if that proves anything!
I guess nobody wanted a dog......
 4.
Yeah they will struggle to sell those cabs at that price.
GAK have them at £500 already and RichTone Music have them at £450......
 5. you need another option on that poll..... "i thought i would try some other posh cabs so bought a few second hand but found they were no better than my BF ones so sold them on again" I did exactly that - tried various flavours of Bergs, gigged them all once, found that they weren't any better sounding to my ears and then sold them straight on cos i preferred my Barefaceds. Lovely cabs though....
 6. Great basses - possibly one of the finest necks ever and a nitro finish too.......quite significantly different from a standard Mexican Precision
 7.
80dB limiter. That is all.
Mind you don't sneeze.....
 8. Just opens up a load of random FB musicman links for me?......
 9. My wish list - A decent tuner - mutable from a footswitch. Maybe a couple or 3 programmable and foot switchable patch/preset buttons (like on a TC). Feet that won't slide off the shiny Barefaced cabs and will also clear any handles. I think an adjustable HPF of some sort to help tame boomy stages/rooms would be useful. And these 'taste' or 'filter' dials that a few amps have are pretty good for quickly changing the voicing. Knobs - not sub menus and LCD displays. Heft - something that doesn't sound weedy like a lot of the class D stuff does. For my purposes it needs some slam available.
 10.
If there turns out there's some sort of problem or mistake with these I'm going to get lynched, aren't I?
Yep....... :-)
 11. Thanks for the heads up - thats me £90 worse off now :-)
 12.
I'm a bit clueless about these things but why would anyone want to take a pineapple to a festival anyway
To throw at police squad of course ;-)
 13.
I was hit by a pineapple at the Reading festival 1983. Right in the face, during Big Country
Possibly could have been worse.....i was there for those few years and remember vividly the bottles of "gentleman lemonade" flying around all over the place. I guess a pineapple is more painful though
 14.
Zoom B1ON - no brainer.......i use mine all the time as a practice unit as well
and one just popped up in the classifieds too......... (not mine by the way)
 15. Zoom B1ON - no brainer.......i use mine all the time as a practice unit as well
 16. Helped Krysz out with another cab for his Bergantino fetish ;-) Absolutely top draw guy - great communication, trusting and very easy to deal with. Totally recommended. If Carlsberg made Basschat purchasers.............
 17.
I played one of these today in GuitarGuitar Birmingham. I really liked it and am thinking about ways of making it, or one like it, mine. I thought it played nicely and sounded thumpy and tight. The relic'ing (which I'm not usually a fan of) looked subtle and realistic I thought, but the pickup covers where uneven to the point of looking like they weren't installed properly. The price has gone up too, £900+ now, for a MIM... Am I right in saying that tbese are also available in non-roadworn finish?
You can't get anything quite like this in any other version as far as i know - the neck size is unique to it, its made of ash and the body contour is different. It also has an SD QuarterPounder pickup (although you could retrofit that to any Precision). I played mine back to back with a normal Mexican P Bass and everything about it was noticeably different. The feel sold it to me and i do tend to like zingy rocky sounding basses anyway so the sound was dead on for me.....
 18. I had one of those in the 80's......

 20.
I was suggesting high end cabs to a friend and it seem nowhere has them now... Any info?
I have a very nice one for sale in the classifieds ;-)

 22. NOW SOLD SUBJECT TO PAYMENT £450 Bergantino HD210 400 watt 8ohm cabinet Excellent condition with Berg cover included I've been doing a bit of cab experimenting recently and scratching a Berg itch and picked this up a few weeks ago from Basschat. Its an easily transportable (50lbs but a great size/shape to carry with good handles) ceramic speakered beauty. Gigged it for the first time last night and decided that i don't really need it and it was a bit of a luxury so its back up for sale at what i paid for it a couple of weeks back. Collection from near Harlow/BIshops Stortford/Stansted Airport. Could possibly deliver to nearby areas as well as Kent and bits of London as i work around that way too. Sorry, I'm not posting it. Possible trade for maybe a light decent 2x12 4ohm cab or a Genzler Magellan head - PM me anything interesting..... Heres a bit of official blurb and some piccies below - thanks for looking Bergantino HD210 specifications:

•2 x 10" woofers with 56oz magnets with and vented pole pieces
•high intelligibility 1" tweeter
•custom phase - coherent crossover with tweeter level control
•Precision tuned 100% Baltic Birch cabinet
•power handling - 400 watts rms
•sensitivity: 98db • 1 watt/1 meter
•2 x 1/4" and 2 x neutrik connectors
•impedance: 8 ohms
•frequency response: 44hz-15khz
 •dimensions: 22" W x 18" H x 12" D
56cm x 46cm x 30.5cm
Bergantino HD210 by Jon Ashbee, on Flickr Bergantino HD210 by Jon Ashbee, on Flickr Bergantino HD210 by Jon Ashbee, on Flickr Bergantino HD210 by Jon Ashbee, on Flickr Bergantino HD210 by Jon Ashbee, on Flickr Bergantino HD210 by Jon Ashbee, on Flickr
