  1. I've never owned a Warwick but always had a hankering to give a Corvette a go at some point
  2. The one we have has a wired remote and you can vary the output level, duration and frequency of the output. It also has an option to have a constant haze but you can again vary the output down to almost nothing to flat out choking everyone. It's just a little Beamz one but it's probably the most essential bit of kit we have. https://electromarket.co.uk/beamz-f900-fazer-haze-machine-soft-case
  3. Now sold 🙂 Found this in the lockup whilst we were having a clear out. Surplus to requirements, hasn't been used for quite a while but powers up and works fine so needs to be rehomed. Auto run or DMX controlled and 4 separate moonflower lights on a gig bar. Quite a good way to get some interesting lights going on stage without faffing about! Collection only please
  4. No we deffo don't need any more kit. I just need to find some time and space to set everything up in a room and create the scenes on the Bigfoot DMX. We will be able to lock the Sweepers pointing downwards at an angle, synchronise the drum and front light colours and then just have the moving heads and lasers creating some motion for some songs.
  5. Here's our setup in a pub gig.... 2 ADJ Sweeper beams on stands at the rear running a slow auto program. 2 ADJ VPars run as uplighters in the drums set to a slow fade auto program 2 ADJ Vbars on the floor at the front point upwards set up on a slow auto fade just using 3 colours They are all just left running but I can black out the rear lights and change the program on a remote switch if I want. Minimal effort required. There are 2 lasers that we have either side pointing inwards as well set to auto programs. There are 2 Chauvet Duo moving heads on the floor in front of the amps pointing up. They are linked to a Bigfoot DMX floor controller that I run. I can change colours and programs via that. It's a really useful bit of kit. The plan is to add the rear sweepers and the drum lights to the DMX floor controller eventually so we can get some scenes going. Oh and there's a hazer that I run on a remote but I went a bit mad with it here... And having a backdrop makes it all look a bit better I think. Nothing worse than fighting against a telly or dartboard in the background.
  6. Get a hazer..... It'll make everything look 10 times better. Don't have everything flashing all over the place on sound active programs or fast programs. It's fatiguing for the audience to watch. Give us a better idea of what you actually have - led bars, spots, floods etc And can you be bothered to learn DMX programming or buy a controller? Oh and do you want to take on the additional work of being the guy that has to do it 😉
  7. I could get 4 gigs out of a set of stainless ones on average. If it was a real sweaty one it would be 3 gigs i reckon. Try the Warwick Reds from Thomann or Gewar4 Music
  8. I use these as they are under a tenner a set and I'm a zingy type of guy. I kill strings in about 4/5 gigs tops and these last as well as anything else I've tried for 2 or 3 times the price. Dr Hi Beams or Dunlop Super Brights feel a bit nicer but all I'm going to do is beat the poopie out of them on a Saturday night in a pub - the subtle nuances are lost on me, the crowd and my bandmates so price is key.
  9. Friday night was a pub gig in a good local music venue. There were two other great bands playing in the other two main venues in town so I had a feeling it might be a quiet night with the local crowd being split 3 ways. I was right - we probably only had about 40/50 people in but we played a blinder, had loads of positive feedback after from the punters, staff and owners and went away really happy. On reflection I think it could have been one of our best gigs from a player's perspective. We chucked in a load of linked songs that all went perfectly, mixed the set up a bit, the sound was great and everyone said how relaxed they felt about it. A good night.....
  10. Seen this before?????? Really highlights the vocals and song itself. I'm not too sure about Vinnie on guitar here though - he's never quite nailed the feel of the band in my opinion.
  11. Hipshot BT7 Detuner SOLD! Brand new with ferrule and screws £80 including insured postage or knock a few quid off if you'll collect

  13. Here's a link to a lot of footage from America If you just want to skip to the awesome Geddy bit Working Man is around 1 hour in. Great sound and it appears to have been filmed by a bass player 😊

  15. Price drop bumperoonie and if you had something like a Boss or Source Audio synth pedal, a Source Audio Atlas or maybe some sort of pedal preamp with a DI out I may be interested in taking it as part of a deal. But pop that over by PM if you want to discuss please 🙂

  17. They look really good and great value too. We use a pair of ADJ Vbar Paks on the floor at stage front which are a lot smaller but still really bright. They work well but I think the vertical option with your Equinox ones would make it more flexible. I would buy them....
  18. I used one of these in the car for a while when I had some posterior issues. Worked a treat.....might be worth a try iamcomfi Coccyx Cushion - Medium Hardness - Seat Cushion for Office Chair Desk & Car Driving - Premium Heat Sensitive & Durable Memory Foam Sitting Pillow https://amzn.eu/d/c2QgIXV
  19. Is that better? Sorry about the singer getting in the way 😂
  20. One of our regular haunts last night. It was worryingly quiet whilst we were setting up (only about 20 people in between 7pm and 9pm) and we were fearing the worst. Luckily the regulars piled in at about 9.15 for our 9.30 start and it ended up being packed out. We played well and the sound was great by all accounts.
  21. Now sold Mint condition with original fluffy case and tags. I believe the white finish was a one year limited option. 95% USA 3 band tone for 50% of the spend. I've had a few of the American ones and these Ray 34 models really do come so close to the originals. The only noticeable difference is the satin finish neck as opposed to the oil finish on the USA's. Ash body, Hipshot Detuner fitted, comes with original tuner as well, 3 band eq, brand new strings..... Sounds immense and plays faberoonie. Collection from Herts/Essex border. Happy to drive and meet for some fuel money by arrangement. Will be in Derby next Tuesday 27th September as well.
