  1. I have a model from the same year and it’s my go-to. Good luck with the sale!
  2. Gareth bought a book from me - all very competently done. Many thanks!👍
  3. So who’s next, Chris?😁
  4. Don is a dream to deal with. Concluded our guitar sale/purchase same day and I would do it again any time! Thanks my friend.
  5. Mahogany natural finish double cutaway guitar - the UK’s handmade answer to Gibson’s Melody Maker. I have owned this since the mid 80s but it’s rarely been out of its hard case as I became more interested in four string. So any battle scars were inherited! . Frets: 22 Fret size 1.5 x 2.5 mm Fingerboard: Rosewood Nut: Brass Nut width typically 45mm (base of neck 54mm) Pickups:1 humbucker (Coil Tapped) Machine Heads: Schaller Comments courtesy of @Lozz196 who sold one many years ago - I don’t think I can say it better… It only has the one pickup, but due to coil-tapping and a tone control that actually works well, a variety of different tones can be coaxed from this guitar. It is very lightweight, so is very comfortable to play for long rehearsal sessions/gigs. Great guitar for rock - AC/DC type tones simply scream from this guitar, as do Johnny Thunders/Buzzcocks punk tones.
  6. A history of the SXSW festival in Austin through the eyes of journalist Oliver Gray. RRP £14 - new copy £10 posted NOW £8 Review excerpt: Oliver Gray is currently active in promoting Americana acts in the UK, having retired from a teaching career. From 2003-2023, he imbibed his favourite music via flying visits to the legendary SXSW (South by Southwest) festival in Austin, Texas. The two decades saw him graduate from naive tourist to expert in navigating the event's unique format, making friends (and sometimes enemies) with promoters, managers, fans and musicians as he went. This handily-sized paperback draws from the many reviews he sent back to UK publications and websites, augmented by retrospective comment. Creative recycling, to be sure, but lovers of the Americana genre will wallow in this as if in a warm bath.
  7. Reissue of her second Rocket album as a beautifully packaged 2CD. £12 posted UK.
  8. Duke Fakir I’ll Be There - My Life with the Four Tops. Hardback, perfect condition. £8 including UK postage.
  9. Don’t be fooled by the photo … this is far from the obvious. It’s the best and most entertaining Fleetwood Mac book I have read! Now it’s your turn. As new hardback - £22 cover price, was £15 now reduced to £12 posted. A great story, told well with plenty of first person interview material.
  10. Micky Moody (Whitesnake) Playing With Trumpets (rare 2006 hardback) Snakes and Ladders (2016 paperback, later years) Both books, UK postage included, £15
  11. I listened to ‘Little Nicky’ more than Freeman and (whisper) Peel! Glad he is still alive and kicking (even if the others arent!) I do a similar thing with U3a groups and the like, having made a living interviewing the famous. One of my talks is called ‘Dolly, Daltrey, Geldof…and Me’!
  12. What a fantastic idea! Let us know how it goes…or doesn’t!
  13. And again - repeated with no hassles whatsoever. 🙏
  14. The James Oliver Band with Norman Watt Roy. It’s half time at the moment and we have already had our money’s worth! Mickey, News at Ten, Emsworth, with @Chimike PS Norm needs to catch the 10.50 from Havant…
  15. Off topic maybe, but I got into VM through the 1974 Whistle Test TV broadcast of Its Too Late To Stop Now. None of the dozen gigs I saw live could hold a candle to it, and I still rate the album in my Top 5 live recordings ever…
  16. Frankly, being a fan of both, I think thats a bit verbose for Van!
  17. You are spot on. I believe it may be 2011. I prefer the slightly bigger body, being a big bloke, but its not all that different. I envy your blocks though!
  18. I have similar, with the larger Precision style body.
  19. Where did you spot this beauty?
  20. The man is a gentleman, scholar and genius. Rescued my Guild, owned for 35 years, from the scrapheap… many thanks, my friend!
  21. I get conflicted, not wanting to trust my ears. Both my fretless are unlined, and my eyes aren’t drawn to the fretboard. Besides, it looks way cooler…
  22. She can lift the same weight as you (weigh)…🏋️‍♀️ Don't mind me, I’m re-starting my diet!
  23. That could be read one of two ways!
