Aw I really hoped the other bag actually said "Another bag".
And I'm disappointed. I thought the Transit was a van.

It would make quite a good hook for a crane. -
It's a Yamaha BX1 Copy! I've got an original and although quite rare, I can't see why you would go to the trouble! Google image Yamaha BX!, you'll see what I mean. Cheers.
Are they related? we should be told. Some people just shouldn't be allowed to own a saw. And after all that, it still didn't fit the case. -
Oh I dunno, I can't help thinking that ...

A happy coincidence between the spelling in this Scratchpad article and the auction (scroll to the bottom, last location but one). http://scratchpad.wikia.com/wiki/Soho/Covent_Garden -
So what was it???
It's a Grabber pickup, but without the sliding part. Could be a Grabber bridge, overpainted black. No idea about the rest of it, but I think the only other Gibson part is the neck plate. Unless someone can think of a string-thru, bolt on Gibson body with controls accessed from the back. I can't. -

very lovely, but where could you gig with a rig like that? The Pump Rooms in Harrogate maybe? Pass the cucumber sandwiches. -
Seems to be quite a lot of tools and materials at ToneTech http://www.tonetechluthiersupplies.co.uk/Shop.html

The only time I play with rounds now is when a new bass arrives. After 10 minutes I'm looking for the spare flats packet. I've had the same set of Rotos on my Precision for at least 5 years. Recently tried GHS Precision flats on one of the Rippers and they're good too.
-
"Power socket? I'm sure there's one round here somewhere." Landlord, whose brother in law, allegedly, used to roadie for Shawaddywaddy, after we'd had a bit of feedback in the first set, which was quickly sorted out. " You should use SM58s. Never get feedback with SM58s." (We use SM58s).

That TSB 400 looks very nice. I must not look for one on eBay. Mine was a Kay

OK, I understand now. But, let's suppose I'm a music publisher. Can I publish "The Complete Led Zeppelin Book of Guitar Tab" without permission or royalties? After all, it's not a complete representation of the songs, just the pitch on the fretboard. I think that would be a very difficult argument to get past a judge. Then, as we've seen with mp3s, there's not much legal distinction between breaching copyright for money or for fun, so it doesn't really matter whether you're publishing a book or uploading to a tab site. Whether it's worth trying to police is another matter. There's also the issue of tab sites charging. If it's purely to cover royalties, that might be ok, but if people really are dilligently transcribing songs (rather than copying from their mate's tab book), should someone else be building a business out of it? There's been some arguments about The Huffington Post building the site on writing people did for free and then selling out to AOL for $315m.
Good evening, all... I've decided to branch out from my current production (see example...)... ...and propose hand-carved solid Italian marble basses. I will need a model or two to get my patterns right; could you please PM if you have a couple of Jazzes, Precisions or Rickies that you could lend me for a while? I will offer a decent discount to those helping me in this way. Prices..? Not quite sure yet (awaiting a truckload of rock from Padua any day now...), but would around £50 seem fair (less for those who lend me their instruments, of course...)? I can't produce many (hand carving takes time, you know...), but I can start delivery in about 2015. The basses lent to me will be mollycoddled (as is fitting for a model...), and will be returned as soon as I have no further use for them. Incidently, with my patented carving process, I can do an excellent tortoiseshell finish, if required, or even imitation carbon fibre. Thanks in advance for your kind generosity, you will be amply rewarded.
If anyone lends you a bass, I hope you look after it better than you did that woman.

Possibly he thinks it makes the ad look more personal and honest. He'd have a job hiding from anyone who wasn't happy.

From what I've heard you probably had a lucky escape.
EDIT: It seems Led Zeppelin, Portishead and a few others have had their tabs removed on copyright claims. The tabs are a representation of a series of notes, not a re-creation of the song so how can they have them removed? Unless an artist owns the series of notes they use on any record they have had published, which makes no sense. It would stop people being able to produce new music. Surely this fad can't last?
Not sure I understand what you're saying here. There's been copyright on music scores since The London Stationer's Company sued Henry VIII for ripping off Greensleeves.

I think they're quite under-rated amps, and definitely worth more than that. The only reason I sold mine was I got fed up with carrying the rack case and separate cabs.
