2 Mackie subs are more than capable of taking some bass guitar at pub volume, why will the voacls be going down there, are they a Barry White tribute show? I am saying in with that PA
I'd say in , too. Makes it much easier for whoever is controlling the FOH sound if they only have to deal with the FOH, and not worry about the contribution from the backline (especially if you are in the habit of fiddling with it during the gig!) .

I like a challenge! I think I can replicate most of this with the VB-99 - bass on one channel, guitar emulation on the other, got plenty of effects , harmonists/delay/tremelo and a blend through a distortion pedal. Then I can route each channel to one side of the stereo outputs and use the footswitch to turn the bass channel on and off. What's s-bend mode, I'm not familiar with the harmonist? (mine will probably sound more like U-bend mode LOL !

I think you will be good for them. The only way to find out if they'll be good for you is to try a couple of rehearsals and see. Good luck, hope it works out. The original material seems a lot weaker to my ears than the covers of known stuff, but it's not a genre I know a great deal about.

Zoom MS60B, or B1ON if you can stand the cheap plastic casing! Delays and Choruses to choose from, the Pitch Shifter is better than the Octaver.

The Fishman unit looks fun, but uses a USB receiver which I don't think will pass a signal into a GR55, or a VB-99 come to that. You would need a USB - Midi converter, I think they exist but haven't seen one before. You could use it via a computer to trigger synth samples in something like Studio One or Logic. I reckon it might fit onto a Bass VI, depends on how adjustable the spacing is. I have not found a way to use a wireless with a VB-99, which uses the same GK-3B and 13-pin cable. I don't know about the GR55, but with a VB-99 you can go up to 36" scale length. Unfortunately a VB-99 doesnt' do the kind of string pad and piano sounds that you're looking for, but it does have MIDI out so it might be possible to use that to drive an expander or keyboard. Latency and tracking isn't an issue with a GK-3B by the way: there's no buffering involved. Tracking on the B2M isn't great and you have to be super clean. I'm told the newer i2M is better, haven't tried one of those. If you want to play string pads and piano parts, you will need to be a demon two-handed tapper to keep a bass line going as well.

For sale: Mapex VX Voyager drum kit comprising: 18" Bass drum 12" Floor tom free standing 10" tom 8" tom 12" snare Paiste 101 18" Crash/ride cymbal Paiste 101 14" Hi Hat Stool Colour is black. This is a proper small drum kit, not a kids toy, though it's ideal for the smaller player who wants to learn. It's also great for Jazz or situations where space is limited. I bought it new about 6 years ago since when it's never left the house. It's in excellent condition and has had very little use. We now need to make some space because the conservatory is about to be knocked down! Looking for £175. Don't think posting this is an option so you'll need to collect it from Ipswich or I can deliver to a reasonable distance for some petrol money. Pictures to follow

Anyone looking for a 1u enclosure I have a dead Sabine feedback destroyer in a decent quality chassis, collect from Ipswich or pm me and we will work out postage.

Free to a good home for spares or repair, one Sabine fbx1020 plus feedback destroyer. This appears to have a fault in the power supply which might be fixable by someone with the right skills. Or, it is a very well made 1U chassis which might serve as a housing in a self build project. Collect from Ipswich or posted at your cost. This has now been claimed. Thanks for the interest.

Snake? Intestine? Your call ...

Looks like something that's been squeezed out of an intestine. -
Yes I do, but not to the standard that would be required to dep for the kind of stuff that you do.

You might be the first guy on the eighth guy's list! At least you didn't call me. Things weren't even close to desperate :-)

If you're stuck for space on the forum, you can put your pictures somewhere like photobucket instead, then just include the <IMG> tags in your forum posting and the images will display. Edit: Sorry , just seen Fretmeister give you this info in post #6. Thanks for the phot. Tempted by this but I think the string spacing might be a bit narrow. Whereabouts in Buckinghamshire are you? -
hhmmm, not so good for speedy guitar changes mid-set then... I've seen the hercules double stands and they look good, not cheap, but good, I've used the single grab stand for years and they're great. I wonder how stable the double will be when there's only one bass on there? One problem I had with the herc stuff was the width of the jaws being unsuitable for some 5'ers and most 6'ers I tried on there...not a problem for me anymore as I'm back to the 4 string p bass for just about everything
I have the double and it is very stable with only one bass on it, even when the bass is reasonably heavy (like a BBNE2). Dunno about 6'ers but mine had no problems with a TRB5P which has a pretty wide neck. It's a great bit of kit and I'd replace it with another if anything happened to it.

Our guitarist has a 2U rack drawer in the bottom of his rack with a few pedals in. -

Why not add another 2x10, if you like the sound of it?

If KiOgon can't help, you could try Martin Owen at Owen Electronics. He fixed a similar problem with a chorus pedal for me, postal turn around was quick and charges were reasonable. http://www.owenelectronics.co.uk/

I bought a second hand Carlo Giordano electric violin off eBay for about 45 quid and it has done the job admirably for our pogues tribute band with very loud drummer. It has a built in preamp we plug it straight into the desk.
