1. I've had mostly good dealings with them. I tend to either buy on one of their regular sale days or look out for auctions, rather than BIN.
2. Either will do the job, I'm sure
3. Good for you, hope it goes well. Will you be using my old P bass?
4.
Just picked up my BF Two10 & Four10 stack. Can`t wait to give the Four10 a try on Tues (the whole stack may be a bit over-powering for a 15x15 rehearsal room).
Hertfordshire will be declared a disaster zone if you unleash that lot Lozz
5.
Buy one of our One10 cabs and use it for a month - if it doesn't do what you need we'll have it collected and give you a full refund waiving the usual return postage cost. If my recommendation is wrong it won't cost you anything!
Can't say fairer than that. I would most certainly be taking Alex up on that offer.
6. I love the sound and feel of flats on a P bass. For me though, they don't work with the band that I currently play with and I find that zingy rounds are a much better fit. My fretless which only gets played at home, is wearing a set of status half wounds, as recommended by discreet. I am very impressed, not only with discreet but also the strings . Super comfortable to play, with a warm, bright non muddy sound.
7.
Really nice amp heads... Has anyone reading this tried out any of the Handbox cabs or combos yet?
I not aware of anyone with a cab or combo over here.
8.
If you like the GK tone, I`d stay in house and look at the MB Fusion amps. They do the classic GK sound, but due to the pre-amp valves can really warm up and become darker as per your needs for the new band. Plus they`re very light/portable so really fit all requirements.
Have to agree with Lozz and it's what I use.
9. I love the industrial look of this rig looking forward to getting another Handbox amp in a couple of weeks.
10. Another weekend, another bump
11. A total gent to deal with. Excellent communication throughout our recent dealing. I'm very happy to recommend.
12.
Ooops, sorry...No model number on the ad so I wasn't sure if it was worth a punt - I won't now...good luck
In truth Mick, it's on my watch list but so is a whole load of stuff. I really need to be selling at the moment, not buying, so you go ahead mate.
13. Yes, this one has been on my watch list for a few days. I suppose I'll be bidding against hordes of BC'ers now
14. I like my fretless with virtually no relief, at what would be the eighth fret position, when holding the string down at the end of fret board and first fret.
15.
Ha... Cheers. Where in the country are you? I'll let you know when we are local
I'm in Herts.
16. Well done Bob, long may it continue
17. I've removed a couple of posts due to them being inappropriate, unfortunately it has left the thread looking a little messy. Karl maybe it would be best to remove or edit your replies now.
18. A Sunday night bump, that might prompt one of you to buy this very classy instrument
19. I'm offering set ups, maintenance, repairs, restrings etc. I'm in Herts.
20. Damn, I was hoping that it would be a heavy beast, so that I could definitely disregard it. If a certain sale falls through, I might well be back to you, although I suspect that this will go today.
21. Good luck with it Bob, look forward to hearing of your debut with the Jazz or Blues band.
22. This has been a lovely read to start my day off with.
