1. Tried many basses, but the good old P seema to do the right trick for me. For me, P-Bass of any simple variant (51 P-Bass, P-Bass, Telecaster Bass I & Telecaster Bass II, TNB-110 SP, PP-Bass, Boxer Bass, Big Block P-Bass) is the right thing... Sound is straightforward, no-nonsense instrument with perfect comfort of using More sophisticated ones (Precision Hollowbody A∕E, Elite P-Bass etc) are also cool.
 2.
I can vouch for the dual split-pickup configuration - used together they just roar!
They roar indeed
 3.
Fender already made a three pickup bass, the urge bass
Of course they had, but it has a predefined set of pickups meant to work together. I'm sceptic about the mismatched sets of 3+ pickups, that's all.
 4.
Not too sure whether I'd call him a 'star', it's the first I've heard of the guy and whilst he's got impressive technique he's not actually doing anything new at all, just rehashing the same slap thing that's been repeated over and over. The advice isn't terrible either, I don't know how it was delivered but if it was with a sincerity then I actually think it's great advice.
It was delivered in a patronizing way, or at least my buddy described it as such. And to a guy he just met for the first time and never heard his playing... I called him a "star" deliberately.
 5.
Anyone remember him at bass day a good few years ago? Incredible playing and a really nice guy into the bargain. Sometime after that we met some polish bassists at a Stanley Clarke gig at the Jazz cafe and they weren't that enamoured with mr P at all. Seems everyone has their own taste. i liked him
My buddy once was on something like Polish NAMM and found Pilichowski. He was teaching some people about playing the bass. My buddy - then already 5 years into playing - never played in front of Pilichowski. But he asked him about some more advanced technique. What was the star's answer? "Kiddo, kiddo... First learn to play correct and then, after all those years, you may start to think about this sort of things." Not the nicest answer to a person whose playing you never had listened to, if you'd ask me. Besides, there are many witnesses who say he considers his technique the only reasonable, good and efficient and tries to force it upon others.
 6. Hayden Lil' Mofo 2 to be used as a preamp and driver.
 7.
Fender have that listed as Caribbean mist.
Yeah, I see this on my other monitor (@work). Ocean Turquoise Jazz Bass, this time for sure Anyway, in my "drawer" I have a lefty P-Bass neck with headstock in intense turquoise colour and rosewood fingerboard. Gonna find a decent body for that baby, it looks awesome.
 8. Amazing how the colour perception depends on the person and the monitor
 9. Turquise JB
 10. Certainly not turquoise. Seafoam green or mint green maybe.
 11.
That looks great with the white p/g and white knobs. I'd go with that.
True.
 12. Here's my TwinSplit. Immo Custom Shop modified and improved Encore P-Bass copy. With all the work and parts, costed an equivalent of about 100 quid, which is a ridiculously low price for an instrument that awesome. Powerful beastie, way better than I expected it to be.
 13. Maybe it's because the strings are roundwound, neck is unadjustable and so is the bridge?
 14. Once again surprised how great effect can be achieved by using a can spray, even if it's designed for guitars. I have a P-Bass body needing a nice refin, now I'm tempted even more, however I'm afraid I won't be able to buy "Manchester Guitar Tech" canned nitro lacquer in Poland
 15. Cool find! May we all have such unexpected NBD's
 16.
tax? I thought there was no import tax between EU countries...
And I thought the tax collectors from revenue service can't barge into your home and take all your computers, USB flash drives and girlfriends But more seriously - yeah, silly me, it ain't no tax indeed. We've been talking about the taxes, revenues and repo-men that I see taxes everywhere! I'd say more about it, but more than 370 letter texts are taxed here.
 17.
Why wouldn't you buy one in Poland?
No direct distribution, I'd need to order it from the site linked in the OP, however it's a bit risky and, of course, we have ridiculous tax policy recently, those freakin' bloodsuckers would take a last penny from a woman dying of hunger and trying to save her baby from gangrene. Maybe later
 18. Gorgeous bass. Congrats!
 19. Today it's easier to:

Obtain an instrument
Build a set of gear that will bring exactly the sound one would want
Find an idol or inspiration
Find a teacher and/or learning materials
Fix or mod your gear
Play anywhere
More difficult to:

Not copy anyone
Master all the techniques
Decide which bass to buy
Spend time training playing skills instead of lurking on the bassist web forum
Own just one bass
Keep it simple
20. Beautiful bass! And it looks like the Tele-shaped headstock mod is quite possible to do with it as well and I instantly thought about some lipstick pickups on it. Petty tempted, but I won't buy one in Poland, unfortunately.
 21. I was hyper-enthusiastic about Squier VM Telecaster Bass Special, but when I finally got my hands on one (in music store), it was a huge disappointment. Uncomfortable neck, not too impressive sound, mediocre finish. About the basses I bought, it was always lucky to buy something that was even better than I expected.
 22. The Ramones.
 23. On Basoofka.net we have a possibility to enter a piece of gear into system and record it's S/N. Nice feature. However, writing down my bike's S/N haven't helped me with recovering it.
 24. You want to have 4 pickups in one bass? You must be aware of some serious wiring issues, comb filtering effect (pickups dampening each other because of generating similar frequencies) and other problems. In general, to insure proper sound, you can run two PUs at once. Some time ago I was wondering about a 3+ PU configuration, but now I know about the problems it can deliver. Besides, each pickup = magnetic force at work with the metal in strings, which means a slight sustain reduction. It's better to have two tonally different basses than turning one into a 3+ pickup platform. I bought an Encore P-Bass copy and modded it by adding a second split coil PU. It added to versatility and tone. Adding another PU would only complicate things. For muddy tones I have my Tele bass with neck humbucker.
 25. Most of the bands I now love I discovered with video games. As video games are often considered "wrong" and many people get really pi**ed by YouTube comments like "GTA San Andreas brought me here" under Boston's "Smokin", I may say that I discovered a lot of bands for wrong reasons
