I really like the functionality of my ODB3, especially the blend feature. But the tone is not amazing - anything similar out there with a blend and a better tone?

Yep I picked up a 80s GK 800RB for a decent price.
I've been on the hunt for an early 80s (chrome input) GK800RB for years and years - finally nabbed one up. Can't wait to get my hands on it.
Only downside is that it's US so I'll have to use a transformer.
I was surprised at how hard these are to find in the UK, though maybe I read something about the materials used in them not being kosher with EU regulations. Might have been dreaming.
Any experiences with these early models?

Also bear in mind that stereo effects or active panning in the bass end of the spectrum can make your recordings impossible to cut to vinyl, were you to want to release your music in this format.

How come?
Hi. I'm getting into the pre/power game.
Only have one cab (ATM) @ 600w but would like to push it to the limit.
Not sure if this is a factor but needs to handle a lot (a lot) of fuzz and drive.
Pairing with ampeg pre.
Older sh stuff is fine by me
If you want an old 'green russian' muff sound (imo, great for bass), go for a frederics effects green muff - http://www.fredric.co.uk/green-russian-sovtek-clone

this!!! great amps i had a mark iv and a vi back in the day, both awesome amps, if they can nail that in a lightweight format ill be all over it.

Maybe just me, but my mark iv IS a lightweight format! it's a dead easy 1-handed lift (though a bit lopsided...
Maybe it's because I'm a reformed GT200 and V4 owner... but the mk iv is just not that heavy.
